MODEL 1201 DESK MICROPHONE KIT

The T-Kit model 1201 desk microphone kit is a kit version of the popular model 705 desk microphone that is sold as an accessory item for our transceivers.

The microphone itself features an electret condenser element. This element requires a polarizing voltage for operation. Newer Ten-Tec HF transceivers and kit VHF transceivers have this polarizing voltage present at the mic jack. If you own a transceiver without polarizing voltage present, a 9 volt battery can be installed inside the base of the microphone to provide the necessary power.

The microphone kit is supplied with no microphone connector. We stock the standard 4 pin Ten-Tec connector (part number 35057) for $3.00.
