Consisting of
two pieces, a hollow fiberglass base section about 4 feet long by 1/2
inch in diameter and a 4 foot tapered 17-7 tempered stainless steel whip
section, these Radiostiks are designed to take the worst of mobile abuse.
The loading coil is wound directly on the lower fiberglass section. When
the two sections are assembled the overall length is about 7 to 8 feet
for both antennas
The 4 foot stainless whip section can be trimmed or adjusted (4" max) within the lower section to resonant at the operating frequency range of interest. Radiostiks are rated for 250 Watts and require a heavy duty 3/8 x 24 TPI threaded mount.
