My project is based on the ARRL 1996 Handbook page 22.3 .This desgin is very simple and very effective.I design my own pcb and i've tested it with varius trcvers. The result was a very clear and loud audio. With the ICOM 706mkii version the result was excellent. I also work this preamplifier with dynamic type microphones cutting one resistor on the pcb (R1) and worked fine with Yaesu FT-920 trcver. Try it , is very simple project and works great.
