The Docheiarioy Monastery lies on the south-west tip of the premontory and is on the slope of the hill which descends sheer to the sea.It is dedicated to the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel.Tradition says that the monastery by Euthymios.

The Katholikon of the monastery , dedicated  to the Archangels Michael and Gabriel , stads on the lower part of the courtyard close to the west wing of the monastery which overlooks the sea.The present church was built during the sixteenth century thanks to generosity of the prince Alexander and his wife Loxandra.

Docheiarioy the 1000 years old monastery that took care of us for 13 days with love and affection , is one of the most beautiful and interesting ones with well restored frescos and a rare library with hanwritten Byzantine codes.The monastery has 25 young monks , who whilst occupied with their religious duties have also personally undertaken the restoration
