Bruce Lee Swearingen, KJ4MFF (SK)

Bruce Lee Swearingen, 70, formerly of Kensington, Ohio passed away suddenly at his home in Winchester, Va. on Sept. 16, 2012. He was born Jan. 24, 1942 to Paul and Miriam (Krabill) Swearingen. Bruce graduated from Youngstown State University as an Electrical Engineer and retired as director of the Naval Electromagnetic Spectrum Center of the United States Navy in Washington, D.C.

Bruce came to amateur radio late in his life.

He achieved his Technician Class license on 18 May 2009 with the call sign KJ4MFF.
He upgraded to General Class on 13 October 2009.
And achieved Amateur Extra Class on 17 February 2010.


He was a member of SPARC for only a few years.  From 2010 to 2012.
