Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club (SPARC)
2022 Annual Pizza Party

The 2022 SPARC Pizza Party was held at Joe's Pizzeria on Wednesday, 3 August 2022.  It was attended by 19 members and guests.
We remember the members who attended the last, but are not attending this Party.

We have come a long way over the past year.

We have restarted our monthly in-person meetings.

We merged the 1-Letter Prefix Incoming QSL Bureau with our 2-letter Bureau so we now handle all of the 4th Call Area.

We held the largest Virginia QSO Party ever in March.

We started a weekly 2m/Zoom Net meetings on Wednesday evenings.

Kevin, W4KLS, coordinated the Pizza Party. He is smiling because he is thinking of all the jokes he is going to tell.

The first arrivals.

Some more arrivals.

The serving line starts. Really good salad and pizza.

Kevin, WB0POH, sometimes participates in activities with the Vienna Wireless Society, but we think he really likes SPARC the best.

A visitor.

Gordon, NQ4K, takes pictures and enjoys talking to people.

Carol taking a picture.

Mike, WB8RDN, often leads our amateur radio licensing examination sessions and devotes a great amount of time as a Red Cross volunteer.

Eric, AJ4LN, our secretary.

Heidi came with Eric.

Duane, K4UW, is looking very well.

Kevin.

Jordan came with Kevin.

Bud, W4KSN.  Being an amateur radio operator goes well with his day job at National Public Radio.

Charlie, K3SR, the SPARC treasurer.  Kevin, W4KSL, extended a special invitation for Charlie to attend with the SPARC checkbook.

Evan, KQ4CI, operates the Ashburn 2M repeater, KI4AD, that we use for our Wednesday evening 2M/Zoom net.

Daniel, W5DJV, is probably our youngest active member.  He provided and worked the digital station during our ARRL Field Day in June.

Evan, KM4SK, is an Incoming QSL Bureau letter manager, our PIO, and our interface with the Virginia Section Leadership.

Barry, KD4BK, is a member of the Virginia QSO Party committee.

Paul, KK4AIA, is a letter manager and, being a Loudoun County Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff, keeps us straight with the Sheriff's station where we hold our monthly meetings.

Jeff, KB4IWD, handles three letters in the Incoming QSL Bureau.

Amit, WY2Z, leads our technician license preparatory classes, is a volunteer examiner, and is a QSL Bureau Letter Manager.

The long table with people enjoying their meal.
