2012 Annual Pizza Party

26 members and guest of the Sterling Park ARC (i.e., SPARCies) were at the Annual Pizza Party to enjoy some commaraderie, and more importantly, eat pizza.

Oct 11 meeting: Henry, K2BFY  WV Road Kill Cookoff and Bikini Bike Wash.

Oct 11  Sterlingfest.We moved 3 times. Very few if any visitors.

Nov 11 meeting. SKYWARN by Paul N3PSS.
 
Dec 11 Herndon Caboose station Henry, K2BFY. Better heater and lots of visitors.

Feb 12: License Exam:  Red, N3TG, Duane, K4UW, Gordon, NQ4K, Charlie, K3ST, John, KK4AHY, Kevin, W4KLS, and Jim KF4PQL.  34 exams to 20 candidates. 9 new tech, 5 new generals, and one extra.

Apr 12  General Class (2 students)

Apr 12 License class. 10 new Techs, 4 new Generals and one upgrade to Extra.  Hats off to our VE team, Red N3TG (VE Team Coordinator),  Duane, K4UW; Gordon, NQ4K; and Charlie, K3SR; plus able assistance from Jim, KF4PQL, and Bill, KJ4VTH.

Jun 12 Herndon Festival and Race    Once again I was surprised at how well we did. I still enjoyed it.

Jun 12   Field Day. Moved back to the football practice field. Good tent setup. No rain. 2150 QSOs.  6568 QSO points and 1610 bonus points for 8,178.  Again I had a very good time.
