And also congrats to our own Paul Fischer K4 PDF and to Joseph Galicic KB3KJS of Point of Rocks, MD who both earned an upgrade to Extra Class.

I found it interesting that the Roster had everyone listed in alphabetical order by last name, but they were obviously processed in inverse order. Hence the call signs were ordered differently than my normal experience.  Just the way the ARRL/VEC team did it, I guess.

The full paperwork package is off to ARRL/VEC. The final total was 27 individuals sat for exams, with 24 earning new Tech licenses and 3 obtaining their Extra licenses.  Everyone came away with something! One of the Extras passed all three exams at one setting, one re-earned his Extra after allowing it to lapse a few years ago. The final new Extra is our very own Paul Fischer K4PDF. Congrats to Paul, and everyone else!

And kudos to our nifty instructors who accounted for most of the 24 new Technicians now awaiting their new callsigns.  It was a jam-packed classroom with outstanding results.

Finally, my sincere thanks to our VE team of Gordon Miller, Duane Durst, John Lagozzino and Charlie Rothrock, plus able coordination from Jim Purks who kept me from going stark raving mad with the paper processing.  And if the interest in classes and exams keeps growing, we may just have to help Loudoun County build an annex on the station there in Eastern Loudoun County!
