Herndon Festival 10K and 5K Race Radio Support
On Sunday, the Support to the Herndon Races were provided by Charlie, K3SR; Gary, K4SRX; Gordon, NQ4K; Dick, W2YE; Eric, AJ4LN; Bill, WF1L; Duane, K4UW; Ray, KD4RSL; John, KK4ALY; Paul, K4PDF; and Chris, KK4HDG.
Once again, we fulfilled our primary duty of getting the timers to the mile markers and announcing the race starts. All our members did very well in keeping track of the status of the race.
The radios all worked well, the net was well organized, and we sounded like we knew what we were doing. It was fun and an excellent way of starting the Sunday while helping out Herndon celebrate another year.

The assembled group supporting the race just before we deployed to our stations.

Charlie, K3SR, manning the net control point and Gary, K4SRX, passing the time.
Thanks to all who participated.
