Field Day recap
Greetings,
Well another Field Day in the books and as always a fun
weekend club event.
We operated 2A with a GOTA station. A few visitors stopped
by and operated. We also had a visit from the ARRL VA
Section Manager Mike Aimone (WA8AHZ).
I want to thank everyone who came out, participated,
assisted with the planning, setup, tear-down and support.
I would like to give an extra special thank you to
Paul Tablar (KK4AIA) who "camped out" at the sheriffs office
overnight to maintain the integrity of our set up and
equipment.
We did experience some antenna/propagation issues that we
will need to review for next years field day.
Thank you again to all who helped out. Without you we would
not have had this event.
Just a reminder there is no July or August meeting. The next
regular club meeting will be Wednesday September 2,
2026. There will be the 2nd and &4th Wednesday ZOOM
nets. Announcement and logon Information will be coming
under separate cover.
Keep your eyes for an email from Henry regarding the Annual
Pizza party which will be Wednesday August 5. Henry K2BFY,
will be emailing out the information as to time and place.
73,
Kevin
W4KLS
The plan. The version 5 of the proposed
plan has been prepared based upon our activities for the
past two years at the Sheriff's station and comments at the
last monthly meeting and Zoom meetings..
History. This is how we did in the past.
We did not have a Field Day in 2020 and 2021 due to the
coronavirus pandemic.
