Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club (SPARC)
2016 Field Day

The 2016 Field Day was held at Park View High School. The original plan was to return to our old location on the practice football field by the fence separating the football field from the baseball field.  The space of the football field combined with the light towers offered ample space for all of our wire antennas. However during a walk-through by Paul, K4PDF, and the Park View High School Athletic Director on the Thursday prior to Field Day, the field was still wet and they were concerned that driving vehicles over the field to take the equipment to the site would cause damage.
As an alternative, Paul, K4PDF, requested permission to use the parking lot and the adjacent dugout area to the baseball fields.  This is the same location SPARC used in the 2011 Field Day and so we were confident that we had space for our equipment and adequate light poles for our wire antennas.
