Field Day 2009 was held beginning on Saturday, 27 Jun 08 at 1000 Local, when set up began, and ended on Sunday 28 Jun 08 at 1400 Local, when break-down was completed at 1500 Local.

In VA Section,  we were 8 of 75 entries
In 3A Category, we were 10 of 305 entries
In 3A in VA Section, we were 1 of 12 entries

Overall
   2009   overall ranking was     90  of  2,612  entries with 8,210 points and 2,217 QSOs
   2008   overall ranking was   112  of  2,409  entries with 7,000 points and 1,922 QSOs 
   2007   overall ranking was   184  of  2,333  entries with 5,846 points and 1,403 QSOs
   2006   overall ranking was   210  of  2,184  entries with 5,554 points and 1,327 QSOs 
   2005   overall ranking was   242  of  2,202  entries with 5,126 points and 1,330 QSOs
   2004   overall ranking was   262  of  2,250  entries with 5,042 points and 1,236 QSOs
   2003   overall ranking was   589  of  2,085  entries with 2,748 points and    715 QSOs

Loudoun Times-Mirror Articles
3 Jul 09: The Loudound Times-Mirror published two nice articles. The first before Field Day on 27 Jun 09 (Article and Picture) and the second on 30 Jun 09 (Article and Picture).

The Plan

22 Jun 09: Another updated plan based upon email discussions. This time, we have 1 maybe 2 additional CW operators. Dick, W2YE, volunteered to give up some time on Saturday. In addition, we decided to convert the SSB/RTTY station to SSB.CW/RTTY. We are still short a few SSB operators. 19 Jun 09: Another updated plan based upon email discussions.  4 Jun 09: Updated plan based upon discussion at 3 Jun monthly meeting is available. Still need volunteers for radio operators. 14 Apr 09: Initial plan is available for review and comment. Will be basis of discussion at May SPARC meeting.

A Goal

In order to move up in the rankings based upon last year's log entries:

  Another 360 points moves us to a ranking of  100
  Another 1000 ppints moves us to a ranking of 77
  Another 2000 points moves us to a ranking of  57
  Doubling our score moves us to a ranking of  12
