ARRL Posts Results for the 2007 Field Day

Bill, WF1L, reports:
The league has posted the results for Field Day and we didn't do too badly.
We were in the top 10% overall based on score and we came in 2nd in out category (3A) to Fauquier County ARC in our section.
Not too shabby, guys!
Congrats all around,
Bill - WF1L

The Tentative Results

Dick, W2YE, prepared our submitted our results to ARRL. Here is his report:

Here is a copy of the verification I received after submitting our info via the applet. Total score was 4156 QSO points plus 1690 bonus points for a total of 5846, subject to ARRL review. It's a bit of an increase from last year's 5554, due to increased QSOs (especially K7CS on CW, but a healthy increase in phone as well). That should put us well in the top 10 percent of logs for 3A, based on last year. Great job, every one!

The Plan

17 Jun 07:
Updated plan is available for review and comment. Based upon discussion at June SPARC meeting.

Past Performance

I found the numbers for our past performance on the ARRL web site:

2006   overall ranking was   210  of  2,184  entries with 5,554 points and 1,327 QSOs
2005   overall ranking was   242  of  2,202  entries with 5,126 points
and 1,330 QSOs
2004   overall ranking was   262  of  2,250  entries with 5,042 points and 1,236 QSOs
2003   overall ranking was   589  of  2,085  entries with 2,748 points and    715 QSOs
2002   overall ranking was   367  of  2,100  entries with 4,452 points and 1,280 QSOs

In order to move up in the rankings based upon last year's log entries:

Another 500  points moves us to a ranking of  174
Another 1000 points moves us to a ranking of 148
Another 2000 points moves us to a ranking of   96
Doubling our score moves us to a ranking of  31
