1999 Field Day preliminary information
Location: Henry Coe State Park, Morgan Hill, CA
Coe Park is the largest state park in northern California, with over
80,000 acres of wild open spaces. The terrain of the park is rugged,
varied, and beautiful, with lofty ridges and steep canyons.
Once the home of Ohlone Indians, the park is now home to a fascinating
variety of plants and animals, including the elusive mountain lion.
Within Coe Park are the headwaters of Coyote Creek, long stretches of
the Pacheco and Orestimba creeks, and a 23,300-acre wilderness area.
The park is open year-round for hikers, mountain bikers, backpackers, equestrians,
car campers, picnickers, photographers, and people who simply like to visit
parks.

Equipment
Everyone is welcome to bring their own gear in addition to the official
FD gear. You can set up your own station as long as it does not knock
one of the SRA stations off the air. Bring your own power.
Electrons will be limited and on allocation only to the SRA stations.
More power is a good thing. Bring enough to share.
Food
Last year's (1998) plan was... a potluck / BBQ for Saturday lunch and
Saturday dinner.
All other meals, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, Sunday breakfast
will be everyone's individual responsibility.
Likely the same this year. More to follow.
Logging
Last year we were setup with a logging program, paper worked better.
We may try software again this year. More details to follow.
Click here to download the official SRA
logging software.
