Accepted ===== Treasurer's Report by Steve, WB6YQP There was a $1900 deposit error by the bank into our account. When they corrected it, they overdrew our account by $0.08 and will be fixing that. We also seem to have $70.00 more in the account than deposited. It will be checked out to make sure that it is ours. ===== Tech Report: Albert, WB7AWL 9600 link is back on line. The radio is bad and down for repair. It will be returned to service in approximately two weeks. Hamaker is OK. KG7FU has retired. Ralph Cook will be working on Prairie Peak. Keyboard Network They are working up north on extending the network OAK into the network to the north. Everything else is OK. Discussion on battery backup. The best solution would be a float charge type system. A battery cutout is needed for a regulated power supply used in this type operation to prevent reverse current flow when the AC current is cut off. The reverse flow can destroy regulated power supplies not designed to prevent it. ===== Old Business: Nothing further heard on Dave Putman. We need to contact Albert, WB7AWL to see if there are any problems. Discussion on getting APC Surge Protector for Hamaker. George Doersch will be installing APRS chips for some of the CAP sites. Report on the APRS demonstration given at the SCARA club meeting. ===== New Business: Roseburg node. Need to ask Tom Hires who they are connected to? We need to send out a friendly reminder to users on the system. $20.00 dues. Necessary to keep the system running for your use. Motion that Sean, N7ZWU draw up and send out the reminder by Leonard, KB7TSX. 2nd by Will, N7KS. Accepted. On April 22nd there will be a SET exercise to test simplex mountain top to mountain top communications. ===== Meeting adjourned: 11:40 PM Sean, N7ZWU SOAPRA Secretary. ===== /ex
