My name is Kent Kärrlander. Born 1948 in the little place called Bollstabruk close to the city of Kramfors, in the middle part of Sweden.
I got married there and we got two children, Björn and Ulrika. We divorced in 1980, when I moved to Norrköping, situated 170 km south of Stockholm.

In Norrköping I worked for the Swedish Textile and Garment Trade Union for two years. Then I started to work in Stockholm at the national office of the same Trade Union.

1993 there was a merger between the Textile and Factory workes Union. It was called Industrifacket. There I worked mainy with training for our members and vocational training.
Then I also worked in European projects as Leonardo and with CEDEFOP.

That was the thread to the work that I just have finnished as a political secretary at EMCEF in Brussels.

Now I am back in Stockholm working for a Nordic Trade Union Organisation.

During all this time I have, and still has, a hoby. Many people have no acceptance for or understanding of my hoby, which is HAM RADIO or Amateur-radio. It is a hoby where you can learn languages, geography and get in touch with lot of people around the world.
