DENNIS R. EILERS, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021. Born June 5, 1944, he was a son of the late Thomas and Ethel Eilers. He was raised in Nappanee, Ind. Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Magnavox / Raytheon for 42 years. His best times were at Coldwater Lake, on his sailboat, playing pool at the community center, and being on his ham radio. Dennis is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dian (nee Procise) Eilers of Fort Wayne; together they raised six children, Jacquie (Jeff) Sager of Goldsboro, N.C., Gina Madison of Fort Wayne, Christina Eilers of Monroeville, Ind., Stephen Diss of San Antonio, Texas, Tim (Becky) Diss of Sarasota Fla., and Pat (Thea) Diss of Fort Wayne; brother, Jim Eilers of Oakland, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Due to COVID-19, there will be a private family memorial gathering at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Community Center.
