Regional and Area Hierarchical BBS Designators

Every system in the global BBS network has a hierarchical address designation. This designation is composed of the following fields separated by periods:
An Amateur Radio Callsign (of the BBS or mailbox)
An optional Regional Designator
An optional State, Province, or other appropriate political subdivision
A Country Designator
A Continent Designator

Example of a typical hierarchical address: K6VE.#SCA.CA.USA.NA
