Regional and Area Hierarchical BBS Designators
Every system in the global BBS network has a hierarchical address designation.
This designation is composed of the following fields separated by periods:
An Amateur Radio Callsign (of the BBS or mailbox)
An optional Regional Designator
An optional State, Province, or other appropriate political subdivision
A Country Designator
A Continent Designator
Example of a typical hierarchical address: K6VE.#SCA.CA.USA.NA
WestNet Designators Defined
#SCA Southern California
#NCA Northern California
#WCA Central California (Coastal Areas)
#CCA Central California (Inland Areas)
#SEAZ Southeastern Arizona
#SONEV Southern Nevada
If there are any differences between the above designator definitions
and the downloaded WestNet
BBS list, the WestNet list is assumed to be more correct unless circumstances
dictate otherwise.
