Public Service Report

On Saturday 8 May 2004, 6 operators worked most of the collection sites and some 22 more tons of food was collected this year than last year. This year the total was 94 tons. Don, K2CZT was net control at our K4SBA station in one of the rooms at the Daily Bread Warehouse. TARC loaned us N4SCY and SBARC used KI4IS, KD4JRJ, W4JBL, N4FIZ. The sites generally opened around noon when the Post Office delivery trucks started to come back with the food they had picked up. The last trucks arrived back around 5pm so most operators put in 6 hours on this event.
