HAM CV

I have been HAM since 1980. In first decade I was operating at YU3DOS and YU3DEM radio club stations. Activity on both radio club stations was mainly oriented to the HF.  In 1985 when I got own call sign YT3RY I became more active also on the VHF, although the HF remained first priority. Later on I moved to new house and lost chance for serious HAM work from the home. In 1992 after we split from the former YU I have become S55AW.

Since very beginning one of my greatest interests has been contesting on HF and especially on VHF bands. Almost all my VHF activity is related to mountain V. Javornik (JN75DS, 1268m a.s.l.), locate near town Postojna in South – West part of Slovenia. I will never forget work in tent, wooden mast, FT-225R, small power generator Honda E300 and snow that we could not returned ones, cold, broken antennas, .. but still spirit of S59DEM crew was unshakable. In late 80-ties I was also the member of the Contest Group Sneznik.

Last years I am working also via meteor scatter.  High speed CW MS is nowadays not to pretentious task but operating MS SSB is something specially and very exciting.

Finally, I should not forget to mention my HAM construction projects at least last two: 144MHz power amplifier with 2x4CX250B (now 2x4CX300A) tubes and 144MHz power amplifier with GS-35b tube. Both amplifiers have been built up together with Robert, S53WW.
