3.2- [ SCAN INFORMATION ]

 3.2.1- RESUME TIME A & B:
Scan resume time interval from the end of a received call to the time
scan automatically resumes. (0 to 5 sec. @ 0.1 second steps)
[Resume time A] is active while on hook normal scan
[Resume time B] is active only while off hook scan is selected.

 3.2.2- OFF HOOK SCAN:
If enabled-"Y", the mobile is able to scan even though the mic
  is off hook. default: "N"

 3.2.3- PRIORITY 1 & 2: (program choices for both P1 and/or P2)
  a) None-No priority ch.; If P1=None ,then P2=None automatically
  b) Fixed-A fixed channel (set by this computer programming ONLY).
  c) Selected CH.- The currently selected channel via the channel or
                   group/channel controls.
  d) Operator Selectable- Operator can "program" the pri. ch. from the
     front panel keys.
To set P1: select ch., hold Scan key, hit Monitor key 3 times.
To set P2: select ch., hold Scan key, hit Monitor key 2 times.
To set P1 or P2 to "None": use above procedure, except hit D/A key.
Note: Only one P1 and one P2 can be programmed, even for multi-group
    mobiles

 3.2.4- GROUP SCAN:
  (KCH-4 Full featured panels only; 2 g. x 16 ch., 10 g. x 16ch.)
[Single]- Scans only the currently selected channel group.
[Multi]- Scans all channel groups (added groups & ch.s).

 3.2.5- LOOKBACK TIMES:
Priority channel checking intervals while receiving on a non-priority
channel. The mobiles CPU chooses either Lookback time A or B depending
on the priority channel activity--Program both times.
[Lookback A]: Priority channel is not busy (no carrier present).
This time is typically set shorter than Lookback B, since the priority
ch. should be checked more often so as not to miss a call.
  Lookback A: 350-2900ms in 50ms steps; default=350ms
[Lookback B]: Priority channel is busy, but tone squelched.
This time is typically set long since the priority ch. is busy with
a user with a different tone.
  Lookback B: 350-5450ms in 50ms steps; default=2050ms

3.2.6- REVERT CHANNEL (for this program list-hit ENTER to open window):
Revert Ch. is the programmable off-hook destination channel. The
choices made available in the screen are dependent on two factors:
  (1) Whether P1 and/or P2 are used (P1 only, both or neither)
  (2) How P1/P2 are set (fixed, selected, Operator-selectable.)
The choices made available will be 3 or more of the following:
  (a) Selected Ch.- Channel selected by controls prior to scan
      initiation.
  (b) Last Called Ch- last channel a call was received on.
  (c) Last Used Ch.- last channel a transmission was made on.
  (d) P1
  (e) P2
 *(f) P1 > P2

*[f to i]: Are sequences made available when one or both priorities
are set for "Operator Selectable". In these sequences, if a priority
channel is "de-selected as a priority ch; i.e., set to None", then
the next listed channel becomes the Revert Channel.
*[g,h,& i]: if either priority is set for "Fixed", then it will not
appear in these sequences on the program screen.

3.3- [ FEATURE OPTION ]

3.3.1- TIME OUT TIMER: TX time out is able to set from 15 to 225 seconds
in 15 sec. steps. default: OFF

3.3.2- BUSY CHANNEL LOCKOUT: TX inhibited when the channel is busy.
  default: NO

 3.3.3- OFF HOOK DECODE ENABLE:
If enabled-"Y", the mobile is still tone squelched even though the mic
is off hook (valid for QT/DQT decode, 2-Tone & DTMF decode options).
default: "N" (off hook condition disables decoder)
  Note:
  (a) This only "disables" the effect the mic-hook condition has on
the "monitor" condition. For the 2-Tone & DTMF options, hitting
PTT or the monitor key will disable their muting.
  (b) The mic-hook condition still starts & stops scanning. The Off-hook
Revert Channel function is still valid (see Scan Information).

[Supervisory Tones]: User friendly acknowledge and warning beeps.
"Yes" is enabled and "No" is disabled.]

Normally, the priority channel cannot be deleted from the scan map via
the "temporary delete" feature. If "Yes" is chosen, this is overridden.
Hold D/A key for two seconds to delete the priority channel temporary
when scan stops on it. The Priority Ch. will remain deleted until the
 "Scan" mode is cycled off/on.

 3.3.11- OPERATOR SELECTABLE TONE(QT/DQT) (16 code menu)
This feature is made available ONLY after a front panel key has been

b) CONNECT THE KPG-4 INTERFACE CABLE:
DB-25 connector to the computer's serial port (COM1 or COM2) and
the RJ-11 modular end to mobiles mic jack.

c) READY FOR READ/WRITE OPERATIONS (Note: Be sure that the COM level in
the Setup (5.1) section of this program is properly set to match that
   of your computer.)
