MONI Key Help
 The MONI Key can be programmed for one of four functions;
Monitor Momentary, Monitor Lock, SQ Off Momentary or Off.

Off : Disables MONI Key function.
Monitor Momentary: Carrier Squelch function while pressing the key.
Monitor Lock : Toggles between Carrier Squelch/Tone Squelch
                   function.
This feature is not available in TK-260 or
                   TK-360.
SQ Off Momentary : Unmute function while pressing the key.
 Default : Off.

Press the [F2] or [SPACE BAR] to alternate selection.

SCAN Key Help
This feature is not available in TK-260 or TK-360.

 The Scan key can be programmed for one of three functions;
Carrier Operate, Time Operate or Off.

Off : Disables SCAN Key function.
Carrier Operate : Selecting "Carrier Operate" causes the scan to
stop and restart with the detection of carrier
(and QT/DQT if set ) on a channel; this is the
                  traditional type scan operation.
Time Operate : Selecting "Time Operate" causes the scan to
stop with the detection of carrier (and QT/DQT
if set) on a channel, however, scan resumes
when the "Dropout Delay Time" (works as Time
Operate Time) expires even if carrier is still
                  present.
Refer "Dropout Delay Time" in the scan
                  information screen.
The "TX Dwell Time" is not effective in "Time
                  Operate" scan.
"Time Operate" scan is controlled only by
"Dropout Delay Time" (works as Time Operate Time).
Time Operate method is not effective in priority
                  scan.
Priority scan works on Carrier Operate method even
if SCAN key is programmed to "Time Operate".
 Default : Carrier Operate.

Press the [F2] or [SPACE BAR] to alternate selection.

Talk Around: The radio transmits with the receive frequency and
             tone.
Reverse : Frequency and tone are exchanged between transmit and
             receive.
 Default : Talk Around.

Press the [F2] or [SPACE BAR] to alternate selection.

Look Back Time A Help
This feature is not available in TK-260 or TK-360.

Priority channel checking intervals while receiving on a
non-priority channel.
The radio's CPU chooses either Lookback time A or B depending on the
priority channel activity --Program both times.
Priority channel is not busy (no carrier detected).
This time is typically set shorter than Lookback B, since the
priority ch. should be checked more often to prevent missing a call.

 Range : 0.5 to 1.5 s (0.1 s steps)
 Default: 0.5 s

Press the [F2] or [SPACE BAR] to increase selection.
 Otherwise enter required duration directly.

Look Back Time B Help
This feature is not available in TK-260 or TK-360.

Priority channel checking intervals while receiving on a
non-priority channel.
The radio's CPU chooses either Lookback time A or B depending on the
priority channel activity --Program both times.
Priority channel is busy, but tone squelched.
This time is typically set long because the priority ch. is busy
with another caller using a different tone.

 Range : 0.5 to 5.0 s (0.5 s steps)
 Default: 2.0 s

Press the [F2] or [SPACE BAR] to increase selection.
 Otherwise enter required duration directly.

Revert Channel Help
This feature is not available in TK-260 or TK-360.

In scan mode the radio can be programmed to revert to a certain
channel upon PTT.
This allows the radio to be customized to the users transmission
requirements while using scan.
The revert channel types are Selected, Selected plus Talkback,
Last Called, Last Used plus Talkback, Priority and Priority plus
Talkback.
In all cases the user has the capability to manually select a
channel for transmission.
(this resets the revert to the selected channel)

Selected : The radio reverts to the channel set by the channel
selector knob prior to scan initiation.
Last Called : The radio reverts to the channel upon which a call
was last received even if scanning has resumed (power
               on default = selected channel).
This is convenient for users that may commonly
receive calls on several channels and desire the radio
to always respond on the last call received
(especially if the user is not normally able to
               respond immediately before scan resumes).
 Last Used+Talkback:
The radio reverts to the channel which was last
transmitted on (power on default = selected channel),
however, if a call is received on a channel other
than the last transmit channel and PTT is pressed
before scanning resumes, the radio "talks back" on the
current receive channel (scan resume time is dependent
on the Dropout Delay and TX Dwell time settings).
If PTT is pressed after scan resumes, the radio will
transmit on the last transmit channel.
This is convenient for users that always want to
transmit on the channel they are currently using and
do not want the revert channel to be constantly
changed by other channel traffic, but need to
immediately respond to calls on any other channel
without having to determine which channel the call was
received on and then manually switch to that channel.
 Selected+Talkback :
The radio reverts to the channel set by the channel
selector knob prior to scan initiation, however, if a
call is received on a channel other than the selected
channel and PTT is pressed before scanning resumes,
the radio "talks back" on the current receive channel
(scan resume time is dependent on the Dropout Delay
               and TX Dwell Time settings).
If PTT is pressed after scan resumes, the radio will
               transmit on the selected channel.
This is convenient for users who normally want to
transmit on the selected channel, but need to
immediately respond to calls on any other channel
without having to determine which channel the call was
received on and then manually switch to that channel.
Priority : The radio always reverts to the priority channel.
This is convenient for users that almost always need
to transmit on the priority channel.
 Priority+Talkback
: The radio always reverts to the priority channel,
however, if a call is received on a channel other
than the priority channel and PTT is pressed before
scanning resumes, the radio "talks back" on the
current receive channel(scan resume time is dependent
on the Dropout Delay and TX Dwell Time settings), If
PTT is pressed after scan resumes, the radio will
transmit on the priority channel, This is convenient
for users that almost always need to transmit on the
priority channel, but need to immediately respond to
calls on any other channel without having to determine
which channel the call was received on and then
               manually switch to that channel.
 Default :Last Called.

Press the [F2] or [SPACE BAR] to alternate selection.

programmed QT/DQT to be received for audio to unmute (and
initiate an Opt. Sig. decode alert).
OR : "OR" requires either the valid Opt. Signalling or the
programmed QT/DQT to be received for audio to unmute (an
Opt. Sig. alert is only initiated if the proper Opt. Sig.
         is decoded).

            after a valid 2-Tone decode.
This tone also sounds from the speaker.
Refer "Clear to Transpond" feature in the optional
