[No Function] Help
"No Function" can be programmed to any PF key or Toggle Switch
(TK-190 only) to make it a non-functioning control.
If a "no function" key/switch is pressed/switched, only an input
Error Tone is emitted (no function is performed).

Note: To disable the Error Tone, select "0" (zero) audio level in
      the Optional Features/Control Tone settings.

[AUX] Help
TK-190
The AUX function can be programmed to any PF key or the Toggle
Switch (only when not in use by an installed voice scrambler
board as the scramble on/off control).
The AUX function can be used to control an installed ANI or other
encode signaling device (see service manual for details). When
pressed, the "AUX" icon lights on the LCD and the CLR/C port inside
of the radio goes to high level. If pressed again, the AUX icon
goes off and the CLR/C port goes to low level.

Note: If the AUX is programmed to both Toggle SW and push key, it is
activated by the Toggle SW only. The push key operation does
not work and an error tone sounds.

TK-6110
The AUX function can be programmed for push key.
If this key is pressed, the "A" icon lights on the LCD and the AUX
port which is contained in 15-pin connector located at the rear of
the transceiver goes to low level.
If pressed again, the "A" icon goes off and the AUX port goes to
Open-Collector.

[Channel Down] Help
The Channel Down function can be programmed to any key.

Pressing this key once, the channels decrement by one step.
If held down for 500msec., the channels decrement continuously.

[Channel Up] Help
The Channel Up function can be programmed to any key.

Pressing this key once, the channels increment by one step.
If held down for 500msec., the channels increment continuously.

[Channel Name] Help
This function switches the LCD display between the current channel
number and programmed Channel Name (programmed alphanumeric alias).
It can be assigned to any key.

[Delete/Add] Help
This function switches the currently displayed channel between
"delete" and "add" status in the scan map (default: added).
When "added" an "A" icon (TK-190) or a "CH ADD" icon (TK-6110)
appears in the LCD and the channel is scanned; this icon is absent
when "delete" and the channel is not scanned.
The delete/add re-write the pre-programmed delete/add settings
in the Channel Information screen.

Note: While in Scan Mode, the [Delete/Add] key operates as a
"Temporary Del/Add" function. When the radio exits from
the Scan Mode, the channel returns to the pre-set "Delete/Add"
      setting.

[Emergency Call] Help
When the Emergency function (key) is activated, the radio enters
the "Emergency Mode".
In this mode, the radio automatically switches to the programmed
"Emergency Channel" and starts transmission with the Emergency ID
Code programmed in an installed ANI Board (dependent on ANI board
capabilities and programming). The LCD display (Emergency Text) and
the TX LED operation are dependent on the "Emergency CH Display"
settings.
(See Edit/Optional Features/Emergency CH Display)

Note1: The Emergency Call/Emergency Channel feature only operates
with an optionally installed ANI board.

Note2: Only one Emergency Call channel can be specified per radio.

Caution !!
If "Emergency Call" function is programmed to the Side1 key or
Side2 key, the operator can not activate the Emergency Call in
the Squelch Level Adjust Mode, Operator Selectable Tone Select
Mode and Scrambler Code Select Mode.

[Home Channel] Help
Pressing the HC function key causes the radio to switch to the
pre-programmed Home Channel without using the channel selector.
See the Channel Information/Channel Edit screen to program the
current channel as the home channel.

Non-Scan mode:
Pressing the HC causes the small 3-digit display in the LCD
(upper left-hand) to momentarily display "HC" and radio switches
to the Home Channel. Pressing again returns the radio to the
previously selected channel. Changing the channel selector or
cycling power on/off switches the radio to the channel selectors
channel.

Scan mode:
During scanning, pressing HC causes the radio to momentarily
stop scan and switch to the Home Channel (if "Revert = Selected",
then HC becomes the scan revert channel). If pressed again, the
radio will NOT return to the previous channel. While receiving a
call, pressing HC changes the channel to the Home Channel (if
"Revert = Selected", then HC becomes the scan revert channel).
When scan mode is exited, the radio returns to the current
channel selector setting.

Note1: Only one HC home channel can be specified per radio.

Note2: If the Scan Revert = selected channel; pressing [HC]
will always set the Scan Revert to the Home Channel.

[Invert Display] Help
The Invert Display function can be programmed to any PF key or the
Toggle Switch.
When the invert key is pressed, the displayed Channel number (or
Alphanumeric) are inverted. If pressed again, the display returns
to normal.

Note: If the Invert Display function is programmed to both
Toggle SW and a PF key, it can only be activated by the
toggle switch. The PF key operation does not work and an
      error tone will sound.

[Key Lock] Help
The Key Lock function can be programmed to any PF key or the Toggle
Switch.
When activated, Key Lock prevents most controls from accidental
activation or changing (ex: Scan On/Off, Delete/Add) except the
following:
  PTT
  Selector Knob
  Volume control
  Toggle SW
  Emergency function key
  Lamp function key
  Monitor function key
  Monitor Momentary function key
  Squelch Off function key
  Squelch Momentary function key
  SP Attenuation

Note1: When Key Lock is first activated or a "locked" key is pressed
       the LCD momentarily displays "LOCKED".

Note2: Cycling radio power Off/On does not cancel Key Lock.
Pressing the [Key Lock] again cancels Key Lock.

Note3: If the Key Lock function is programmed to both the Toggle SW
and a PF key, it can only be activated by the toggle switch.
The PF key operation does not work and an error tone will
       sound.

[Lamp] Help
The Lamp function can be programmed to any PF key (except the Toggle
Switch).
Each time the Lamp key is pressed, the LCD lamp turns on and will
remain lit for 5 seconds. Pressing the Lamp key while the LCD is lit
turns the lamp off at any time.
The Side2 key default is "Lamp" function.

[Low Power] Help
The Low Power function can be programmed to any PF key or the Toggle
Switch.
When activated, the transmit power of all channels change to
"LOW power". When de-activated, the transmit power of all channels
returns to the programmed power setting. High/Low is programmable
on a per channel basis. The High and Low transmit power "levels" are
pre-set in the radio tuning (see the service manual "Alignment"
section).

Note1: The Low power function only effects pre-programmed
       "HIGH power" channel(s).

Note2: If the Low Power is programmed to both the Toggle SW and
a PF key, it can only be activated by the toggle switch.
The PF key operation does not work and an error tone will
       sound.

[Monitor] Help
The Monitor function can be programmed to any PF key or the Toggle
Switch (TK-190 only).
When activated, "MON" appears in the LCD and squelch unmutes if a
carrier is present (QT/DQT and Option Signalling decoding are
disabled during monitoring). If deactivated, "MON" disappears and
the squelch mutes (QT/DQT and Option Signalling are re-enabled).

Note1: If MON is activated during or after a valid Option Signalling
decode, the Option Signalling decode is reset to its decode
       standby state.

Note2: If MON is activated while scanning and a carrier is present,
scanning stops at the channel currently being scanned
(regardless of QT/DQT or Option Signalling).

Note3: MON does not reset the DTMF Dead Beat Disable mode.

Note4: If the Monitor is programmed to both the Toggle SW and a
PF key, it can only be activated by the toggle switch. The
PF key operation does not work and an error tone will sound.
       (TK-190 only)

Note5: If this key is held down for 2sec, the "MON" icon and BUSY LED
lights and squelch unmutes regardless of the existence of a
       carrier.
If pressed again, the "MON" icon and BUSY LED goes off and
       squelch mutes. (TK-6110 only)

[Monitor Momentary] Help
The Monitor Momentary function can be programmed to any PF key and
is only active while the key is pressed and held down (cannot be
assigned to the Toggle Switch).
When activated (key pressed and held), "MON" appears and squelch
unmutes if a carrier is present (QT/DQT and Option Signalling
decoding are disabled during monitoring). If deactivated (key
released), "MON" disappears and the squelch mutes (QT/DQT and Option
Signalling decode are re-enabled).

Note4: MON Momentary cannot be assigned to the Toggle Switch.

[Operator Selectable Tone] Help
The OST function key causes the radio to override the pre-programmed
QT/DQT encode/decode pair and enable the Operator Selectable QT/DQT
tone/code pair. Each OST pair can be assigned a 7 character (TK-190),
8 character (TK-6110) alphanumeric name or number.

TK-190
When the OST key is pressed, the radio enters the "OST Select Mode".
In this mode, the display shows the pre-programmed OST Name of the
last memorized OST pair (or the default, first OST pair) and the
operator can select anyone of the OST Tone pairs using the Side1 key
and Side2 key.

Pressing OST again, the displayed OST pair is memorized for this
channel and enabled for this channel (when "OST Back Up" is set to
"Enable"). The radio exits OST Select Mode and returns to the normal
channel display with the "OPT" icon.

Pressing the OST again, the OST pair is canceled ("OPT" icon turns
off) and the radio returns to the original pre-programmed QT/DQT
pair.

If an OST pair had been previously selected and memorized for a
channel, pressing OST causes the "OPT" icon appears and the
memorized OST pair is enabled.

TK-6110
When this key is pressed, the "OST" icon lights and Encode/Decode
QT/DQT is switched to the OST Tone pair.
If pressed again, the "OST" icon goes off and Encode/Decode QT/DQT
returns to KPG-59D pre-set.
When this key is held down for 1 sec, the transceiver enters
"OST Select Mode". In this mode, the display shows OST No. or
OST Name which is set to the channel and operator can select one
of OST Tone pair using UP key and DW key.
If pressed this key again, the displayed OST code is memorized to
the channel, the transceiver exits from the OST Select Mode,
returns to normal channel display and "OST" icon lights.

Note1: An OST Tone pair can be set and memorized for each channel.

Note2: A maximum of 16 OST pairs can be programmed in the OST menu.
Encode only is allowed (see the Optional Features/Operator
       Selectable Tone window).

Note3: While in the OST Select mode, the radio does not look back
at the priority channel in the Priority Scan mode.

[Scan] Help
The Scan function can be programmed to any PF key or the Toggle
Switch (TK-190 only).
Toggling this key (switch) on and off will start and stop scanning.
The "SCN" icon indicates the radio is in scan mode.

"Scrambler Code Select Mode". The display shows "CODE ##", and the
operator can select 1 of 16 BCD address codes which are programmed
in the Scrambler (scrambler must be BCD addressable) board using
the Side1 key/Side2 keys as up/down selectors.

TK-6110
The Scrambler function can be programmed for push key.
When this key is pressed once, "OPT" icon lights on the LCD and
the Scrambler is ON.
When pressed again, "OPT" icon goes off and the Scrambler is OFF.
If this key is held down for 1 sec, the transceiver enters the
"Scrambler Code Select Mode". The display shows "CODE **", and the
operator can select the code which is programmed in the Scrambler
Board using UP key and DW key.

Note1: If the Scrambler function is programmed to both the
Toggle SW and a PF key, it can only be activated by the
toggle switch. The PF key operation does not work and an
       error tone will sound.(TK-190 only)

Note2: If the Scrambler function is programmed to the Toggle SW,
the operator can not change the Scrambler Code.(TK-190 only)

Note3: The scrambler BCD addressing is programmable per channel.
When 1 of 16 codes is pre-set in the FPU programming the
scrambler is automatically activated with that selected code
anytime the channel is selected. The Scrambler On/Off key
       de-activates it at anytime.
