 New File Help (CLEAR FILE)
This function clears all data currently shown in the Channel
Information window and restores the defaults.

1. Select "New" then press [Enter], or simply press [N].  A warning 
   message appears.
2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press 
   [O] or [C].

 Load Help
The Load function reads a data file saved on a hard disk or floppy 
disk, then writes the file into the buffer memory of your computer.  
You may change the loaded file, write it to the transceiver, or print 
it out.

1. With the File menu open, select "Load" then press [Enter], or 
   simply press [L].  The "Drive & Path" window opens, and displays 
   the currently selected drive and path name.
2. Type the drive and path name of the desired file, then press 
   [Enter].  The "Directory" window opens and displays the name(s) of 
   the file(s) on that path.  Data files have "DAT" extensions. 

Note1: If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error message 
       appears.
       Press any key, insert the correct disk in the specified 
       drive, then press [Enter].

Note2: If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message
       appears.  
       Press any key, correct the drive or path name, then press
       [Enter].

Note3: If no file is found under the drive and path name, an error
       message appears.
       Press any key, correct the drive and path names, then press 
       [Enter].

3. Select the desired file name, then press [Enter].  The "Load file 
   name" window opens.
4. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press 
   [O] or [C].

 Save Help
The Save function saves the created or revised file to the drive, 
path, and file names previously selected (or default).

1. With the File menu open, select "Save(=F4)" then press [Enter], or 
   simply press [S] or [F4]. The "Save file name" window opens.

Note: If the same file name exists under the current path, a warning
      message appears.

2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press 
   [O] or [C].

 Save As Help
The Save As function saves the current file to the drive, path, and 
file names that you specify.

1. With the File menu open, select "save As" then press [Enter], or 
   simply press [A].  The "Drive & Path" window opens and displays 
   the currently selected drive and path names.
2. Type the desired drive and path names, then press [Enter].  The 
   "Save file name" window opens.

Note1: If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error
       message appears.
       Press any key, insert the correct disk in the specified 
       drive, then press [Enter].

Note2: If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message
       appears.  
       Press any key, correct the entered drive or path name, then
       press [Enter].

3. Type the desired file name, then press [Enter].
   The "Save file name" window opens.

Note1: If the same file name exists under the specified path, a
       warning message appears. 

Note2: If you prefer, press [F9] to open the "Directory" window.
       Select the desired file name, then press [Enter] twice.

4. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press 
   [O] or [C].

 Delete Help
The Delete function allows you to delete unnecessary files from the 
desired disk thereby freeing up disk space.

1. With the File menu open, select "Delete" then press [Enter], or 
   simply press [D].  The "Drive & Path" window opens and shows the 
   currently selected drive and path name.
2. Type the desired drive and path name, then press [Enter].  The 
   "Directory" window opens.

Note1: If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error
       message appears.
       Press any key, insert the correct disk in the specified 
       drive, then press [Enter].

Note2: If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message
       appears.
       Press any key, correct the drive or path name, then press
       [Enter].

Note3: If no file exists under the drive and path name, an error
       message appears.
       Press any key, correct the drive and path names, then press 
       [Enter].

3. Select a file name using the up- or down-arrow key, then press 
   [Enter].  The "Delete file name" window opens.
4. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press 
   [O] or [C] .  After erasing the last file in the current 
   directory, the Channel Information window opens; otherwise the
   "Directory" window opens again.
5. Repeat step 3 and 4 to delete all unnecessary files.

 Print Help
The Print function directs data to the printer.  The data may have 
been created, loaded from a disk, or read from the transceiver.  The 
information that you can print includes the followings:

* File name
* Model name
* Key assignment
* Scan information
* Optional features
* 2-Tone
* DTMF
* Test Frequency
* Embedded message
* Channel

1. With the File menu open, select "Print(=F5)" then press [Enter], 
   or simply press [P].  The "Print out list" window opens.
2. Press the up- or down-arrow key to highlight the setting to be 
   changed.
3. Press [SPACE BAR] or [F2] to select "[Yes]" for printing or "No" 
   for canceling the print operation.
4. Highlight the channel numbers at the bottom of the window.  Type 
   the desired starting channel, then press [Enter].  Type the desired 
   ending channel, then press [Enter].
5. Press [F5] to open the "Edit data print out" window.
6. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]".

Note: If the printer is not ready, an error message will appear.
      Check the printer, then select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]".

 Go to Dos Help
The "Go to dos" function allows you to temporarily exit the program 
and go back to the DOS prompt.

1. With the File menu open, select "Go to dos" then press [Enter], or 
   simply press [G].  The "Type EXIT to return to FPU" message and 
   the DOS prompt appear.
2. To restore the previous screen, type "exit" then press [Enter].

Note: The KPG-59D software can support this command only when your 
      computer has sufficient memory.

 Exit Help
The Exit function quits the program completely and restores the DOS 
prompt.

1. With the File menu open, select "eXit (=F3)" then press [Enter], 
   or simply press [X].  The "Return to DOS!" window opens.
2. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]" then press [Enter], or simply press 
   [O] or [C].

 Communication Port Help
Select either COM1 or COM2 by left or right arrow key 
for the computer serial communications port for programming.
COM port settings in your computer may be dependent on internal 
hardware and/or setup software settings; check your computer manual 
for details.

1. When "Communication port" is selected, the "Communication Port" 
   window opens.
   
Note: If there is only a COM1 port on your computer, a window opens
      to report this fact. In this case, the communication port
      cannot be changed.

2. Select either "[COM1]" or "[COM2]".
3. Press [Esc] to complete the setting and restore the Channel 
   Information window.

 Black & White Color Help
Monochrome display mode.

 Display Back Color Help
Background color of main window
Selectable: Blue, Green, Cyan, Red, Magenta, Brown, Lightgray, Black
Default   : Blue

Select the desired value by pressing [SPACE BAR], [Shift]+[SPACE BAR],
[F2] or [Shift]+[F2].

 Input Data Color Help
Input data cursor color.
Selectable: Blue, Green, Cyan, Red, Magenta, Brown, Lightgray, Black
Default   : Brown

Select the desired value by pressing [SPACE BAR], [Shift]+[SPACE BAR],
[F2] or [Shift]+[F2].

 Feature Highlight Color Help
Cursor background color of selected function or parameter.
Selectable: Blue, Green, Cyan, Red, Magenta, Brown, Lightgray, Black
Default   : Magenta

Select the desired value by pressing [SPACE BAR], [Shift]+[SPACE BAR],
[F2] or [Shift]+[F2].

 Screen Border Info. Color Help
Border information background color of main window.
Selectable: Blue, Green, Cyan, Red, Magenta, Brown, Lightgray, Black
Default   : Green

Select the desired value by pressing [SPACE BAR], [Shift]+[SPACE BAR],
[F2] or [Shift]+[F2].

 Windows Menu Color Help
Main menu bar sub window (File, Model, Edit, Program, Setup, F1-Help) 
background color.
Selectable: Blue, Green, Cyan, Red, Magenta, Brown, Lightgray, Black
Default   : Cyan

Select the desired value by pressing [SPACE BAR], [Shift]+[SPACE BAR],
[F2] or [Shift]+[F2].

 General Message Color Help
Important information (such as Warning Message or Error Message) 
window background color.
Selectable: Blue, Green, Cyan, Red, Magenta, Brown, Lightgray, Black
Default   : Red

Select the desired value by pressing [SPACE BAR], [Shift]+[SPACE BAR],
[F2] or [Shift]+[F2].

 Windows Color Help
Sub menu bar, sub window background color.
Selectable: Blue, Green, Cyan, Red, Magenta, Brown, Lightgray, Black
Default   : Lightgray

Select the desired value by pressing [SPACE BAR], [Shift]+[SPACE BAR],
[F2] or [Shift]+[F2].

 Help Window Color Help
Help window background color.

Select the desired value by pressing [SPACE BAR], [Shift]+[SPACE BAR],
[F2] or [Shift]+[F2].

 Help Path Help
Use Help path to select the drive and path name of the Help files.  
The Help files are called KPG59D_*.HLP and are automatically loaded 
in the same folder as the program file upon using the install command 
for installation.

1. When selecting "Help path", the "Drive & Path" window opens.
2. Type the drive and path name, then press [Enter].  The window 
   closes and the Channel Information window opens.

Note1: If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error
       message appears.  
       Press any key, insert the correct disk in the specified drive,
       then press [Enter].

Note2: If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message 
       appears.  
       Press any key, correct the entered drive or path name, then 
       press [Enter].

Note3: If the Help file is not found under the selected drive and path
       name, an error message appears.  Press any key, correct the 
       drive and path names, then press [Enter].

Note4: The Help file can be moved to the directory of your choice.

 FPRO Path Help
Use "Fpro path" to select the drive and path name of the 
Firmware Program File named "FPRO.EXE".  If an incorrect drive or 
path name is entered, the program will not correctly initiate.

1. When "Fpro path" is selected, the "Drive & Path" window opens.
2. Type the drive and path name, then press [Enter].  The window 
   closes and the Channel Information window opens.

Note1: If the entered drive does not contain a disk, an error message 
       appears.  Press any key, insert the correct disk in the 
       specified drive, then press [Enter].

Note2: If the entered drive or path does not exist, an error message 
       appears.  Press any key, correct the entered drive or path 
       name, then press [Enter].

Note3: If the "FPRO.EXE" program is not found under the selected
       drive and path name, an error message appears.  Press any key,
       correct the drive and path names, then press [Enter].

 TK-190 Help
Frequency range
 1: 29.7 - 37.0MHz
 2: 35.0 - 50.0MHz

This VHF Low Band transceiver can be programmed with a maximum of
16 channels.

1. Select frequency version using the up- or down- arrow key, 
   then press [Enter].  The "ANI Board" window opens.
2. If an ANI Board has been installed, select "[Yes]"; 
   otherwise select "[No]".
   When "Yes" is selected, a confirmation window appears.
     -> Jump to step 4.
   When "No" is selected, the "Voice Scrambler" window opens.
3. If a Voice Scrambler unit has been installed, select "[Yes]"; 
   otherwise select "[No]".  A confirmation window appears.
4. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel] then press [Enter], or simply press 
   [O] or [C].

Note1: When switching from "TK-190" to "TK-6110" or vice versa, a 
       warning message appears to remind you that key data currently 
       selected will be cleared. (set to default)
       Select "[OK]" or "[Cancel]".

Note2: When switching Frequency Version from "F1" to "F2" or vice 
       versa, a warning message appears to remind you that frequency
       data currently displayed will be cleared from the screen.
       Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]".

 TK-6110 Help
Frequency range
 1: 29.7 - 37.0MHz
 2: 35.0 - 50.0MHz

This VHF Low Band transceiver can be programmed with a maximum of
32 channels.

1. Select frequency version using the up- or down- arrow key, 
   then press [Enter].  The "ANI Board" window opens.
2. If an ANI Board has been installed, select "[Yes]"; 
   otherwise select "[No]".
   When "Yes" is selected, a confirmation window appears.
     -> Jump to step 4.
   When "No" is selected, the "Voice Scrambler" window opens.
3. If a Voice Scrambler unit has been installed, select "[Yes]"; 
   otherwise select "[No]".  A confirmation window appears.
4. Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel] then press [Enter], or simply press 
   [O] or [C].

Note1: When switching from "TK-6110" to "TK-190" or vice versa, a 
       warning message appears to remind you that key data currently
       selected will be cleared. (set to default)
       Select "[OK]" or "[Cancel]".

Note2: When switching Frequency Version from "F1" to "F2" or vice 
       versa, a warning message appears to remind you that frequency
       data currently displayed will be cleared from the screen.
       Select "[Ok]" or "[Cancel]".

 RX Test Frequency Help
The transceiver can be programmed with Test Frequencies for alignment 
purposes.
