DTMF Speed Help
When using manual dial, the DTMF Speed
is the minimum time period between
digits if the keys are pressed
consecutively.
This time is designed to reduce
 false decoder operation by providing
a fixed time period between digits,
similar to DTMF minimum duration and
first digit time. Selectable 6, 8,
10 or 15 digits per second.

Press the F2 key, SPACE BAR, <- or ->
to increment selection.

1st Digit Help
First digit time is the tone
length of the first digit when using
auto dial. Like the DTMF minimum
duration and the DTMF rise time, first
digit time is intended to reduce the
possibility of improper decoder
operation. This feature extends the
send time of the first digit compared
with subsequent digits.
However, if a transmission starts with
the "*" or "#" tone, the radio
compares the preset first digit time
with the "*" and "#" tone duration,
and adapts the longer of the two.
Selectable 0, 100, 500 or 1000 mSec.

Press the F2 key, SPACE BAR, <- or ->
to increment selections.

* and # Digit Help
The tone duration is the send time of
the "*" and "#" tones. This function
is required by some systems in which
these tones must be set longer than
numeric tones. This setting defines
how much longer the "*" and "#" tones
will be.
However, if a transmission starts with
the "*" or "#" tone, the radio
compares the tone duration with the
preset first digit, and adapts the
longer of the two.
Selectable 0, 100, 500 or 1000 mSec.

Press the F2 key, SPACE BAR, <- or ->
to move between selections.
