Dear Member,

Excitement is mounting for this special event. We will have some interesting activities for you to observe during the afternoon as well as several amateur radio shops and a "bring and buy" stall. The "Mini-Ham Fair" will take place from 2pm until 6pm. Saturday 23rd August 2003 at the Police Sports Association Building on Viphadee Rangsit Road just South of the Airport (see attached map). HS0AC/p will be operating on VHF with a "talk-in" station on 144.9375 MHz, and Packet/APRS on 145.5700 and 145.5300 MHz. The HF station HS0AC/P will have the following tentative operating schedule:

If you cannot attend the event please try to work us on the above frequencies.

We have the Gala Dinner starting at 6pm and we are honoured to be joined by the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, The Director of the Post Telegraph Department and his staff, representatives of the Public Relations Department of the Royal Thai Government, and the Deputy Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Telecommunity. From overseas we have representatives from the IARU Region III, JARL, and the Royal Omani Amateur Radio Society amongst others. It's worth putting on your best clothes for the dinner but you needn't overdo it unless you want to! Smart casual is good enough.

We will have some dancing for entertainment, an audio visual presentation of the history of RAST, and an exciting door prize draw for a HF transceiver and other interesting prizes. If any member would like to donate a door prize this would be most welcome, you can bring it on the day. We also will give each ticket buyer a beautiful 272 page  Anniversary book to commemorate the event.

We will have some tickets at the entrance available for purchase in case anyone arrives without one. If you want to make sure of your ticket though you can Email Ray HS0ZDZ who will reserve one in your name. You can pay 300 Baht per ticket on arrival.

Look forward to seeing you and your family and friends there.
