An extraordinary meeting of amateur radio operators that was held on February 8, 2026, was a great success. Around 25 persons, mostly radio hams, gathered together and a lot of different topics were intensively discussed. And a written questionnaire as to whether to have another such meeting showed unambiguous high interest in doing so. The consensus was to have two such meetings every year, the first being in February and the second in November, always on the second Sunday of the month, each beginning at 11 a.m.
HS0ZFD, Bob has relocated the meeting to the "Beer Garden" at 33/3 Sukhumvit Soi 19 near the Asok BTS station for easy access. Here is a summary of the next meeting from Klaus Thomas (Bob):
For long-term planning, the second extraordinary meeting of expat amateur radio operators in Thailand with callsigns HS0Zxx will take place on November 8, 2026 at 11 a.m. onwards in "Beer Garden" Sukhumvit Road, 33/3 Sukhumvit Soi 19, near Asok BTS station and Sukhumvit MRT station.
This meeting is not a RAST event and the 8th is the second Sunday of November. The Beer Garden is 300 metres inside Soi 19 on the left-hand side.
At 12 noon Bob will show a 30 minute COMINT (COMmunications INTelligence) video concerning EloKa (Funkaufklarung/Spionage-abwehr), a technical masterpiece of the former GDR, 38 years ago. Examples of Bob's RF-PARTS-catalogue will be available during the meeting, which is organized by HS0ZFD.
