6 January, 2018 RAST, represented by the Thai VE Team, organized the US FCC Amateur Radio Examination 1/2560 in Chiang Rai Province.
10 January, 2018 RAST sent the results of the US FCC Amateur Radio License Examination in Chiang Rai to the NBTC, with the reference number being RAST 0056/2560.
14 January, 2018 RAST organized a New Year party and workshop for 2018 at the Mother's Touch Restaurant (Rahn Meu Mae) in Laksi, Bangkok that was attended by over 100 RAST members.
20-21 January 2018 RAST together with HS1IFU staged an exhibition at the Bangkok Mini Maker Fair 2018 at The Street Ratchada in Bangkok.
30 January, 2018 RAST led by HS1FVL proposed two projects to the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Research and Development Fund for Public Interest (BTFP) which is an organization under the supervision of Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), namely the smart repeater project and the project for a wireless nework to specify the coordinates in the case of natural disasters and for search and rescue.

10-12 February, 2018 The RAST club station HS0AC took part in the CQ WPX RTTY Contest for 2018
26 February, 2018 RAST President HS1FVL was a speaker on the topic "The use of radio communications with synthesised frequencies" for the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation in accordance with the document MT 0611/1738 dated February 12, 2018 (in the morning)
26 February, 2018 RAST President HS1FVL and RAST committee members joined a meeting about the JAISAT-1 Project with the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Research and Development Fund for Public Interest (BTFP) at the NBTC Secretariat (in the afternoon).
3 March, 2018 RAST representatives joined a meeting of the Lop Buri Province Amateur Radio Society, HS1AL in Muang District of Lop Buri Province.
4 March, 2018 RAST hosted its Annual General Meeting for 2017 with an election of RAST President and committee members at the Sena Place Hotel in Phya Thai District of Bangkok. The QSL Bureau Manager gave a report of the number of QSL cards that had been handled by the society, being a total of 28,453 incoming QSL cards and 20,101 outbound QSL cards. The Registrar of the society summarized the number of new members of the society, being 21 gold card members (including 12 foreign nationals), 253 silver card life members (including 30 foreign nationals) and 228 annual members and 5 club members.
6 March, 2018 RAST sent a report summarizing its activities for the year 2017 in accordance with NBTC regulations and received acknowledgement of this from the NBTC Secretariat with the serial number STC 5013/8275.31 dated March 21, 2018.
12 March, 2018 RAST President HS1FVL, as a subcommittee member for the development of amateur radio and public frequencies, joined a meeting numbered 1/2561.
12 March, 2018 RAST received permission from the NBTC to use frequencies in the range 3.6 - 3.9 MHz and from 50-54 MHz for amateur radio contests up until the month of September, 2018 with Intermediate Class and Advanced Class amateur radio operators who use these frequencies are required to register this intention with the society and the society is required to send this registration information to the NBTC Secretariat when each contest is over in accordance with the document STC 5013/6377.10 dated March 6, 2018.
17 March 2018 RAST representatives joined in a meeting of the Samut Songkhram Amateur Radio Society, HS7AM in Muang District, Samut Songkhram Province.
24-26 March, 2018 The RAST club station HS0AC took part in the CQ WPX SSB Contest for 2018.
29 March, 2018 RAST received an invitation to take part in a training course of the information technology and communications network in the event of a crisis for 2018 in accordance with the document 0206/W 2634 dated March 26, 2018.
30 March, 2018 The BTFP Fund of the NBTC Secretariat granted permission to the Society to extend the tie for completion of the JAISAT-1 satellite project for a further 365 days in the document STC 1004/9216.11 dated March 27, 2018
30 March, 2018 Since the Advanced Class amateur radio licence incorrectly displays the word "Advance" instead of "Advanced" holders of such licences can change their licence for the correct spelling of "Advanced" without the payment of any fee at all offices of the NBTC according to Page 21 in volume 135 of the Government Gazette, dated March 16, 2018.
April 1, 2019 RAST hosted its informal get-together for the month of April, 2018 at Sena Place Hotel in Phaholyothin Soi 11, Bangkok.
April 18, 2018 RAST sent a summary of the use of 3.6-3.9 MHz and 50-54 MHz for international contests in a document with the reference number 0012/2561.
21-22 April, 2018 RAST organized a seminar and conducted demonstrations of amateur radio communications in the 2nd "RAST on The Beach" activity in the province of Rayong.
21-22 April, 2018 RAST received permission from the NBTC Secretariat to use the callsign HS0AC/2 in the Rast on the Beach 2 activity in Rayong Province in accordance with the letter STC 5013/8275.30 dated March 20, 2018.
21 April, 2018 RAST, with the assistance of the Thai VE Team, organized the US FCC Amateur Radio Examination 3/2560 in Rayong Province.
30 April, 2018 RAST, represented by HS1FVL and HS0ZDX met with VU2GMN, Chairman of the Directors of IARU Region 3, in Bangkok.
2 May, 2018 RAST sent the results of the US FCC Amateur Radio License Examination in Rayong to the NBTC, with the reference number being RAST 0017/2561.
5 May, 2018 RAST conducted an Intermediate Class amateur radio examination 1/2561 at Bangkok University, Rangsit Campus in Pathum Thani and the Society presented certificates to those who passed the Morse code component of the exam at 8 words per minute with 100% accuracy.
27 May, 2018 RAST, together with the computer business division of Rajapruk University and Gravitech Thai Thailand) Company, organized a workshop to educate participants about Arduino (an open-source electronic prototyping platform enabling users to create interactive electronic objects) with no expenses involved at Rajapruk University in Nonthaburi.
1-3 June, 2018 RAST, represented by HS0ZET, HS6SSE, HS0ZKF, HS0ZLA organised a booth at the Friedrichshafen Ham Fair for 2018 in Germany.
2-3 June, 2018 q RAST sent a representative to take part in the ARDF competition to compete for the Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn in the province of Surat Thani.
3 June, 2018 RAST hosted its informal get-together for the month of June, 2018 at Sena Place Hotel in Phaholyothin Soi 11, Bangkok.
3 June, 2018 HS0ZDU Khun Bangorn Greeno donated a Kenwood TS-440S transceiver formerly belonging to Lyle Greeno, HS0ZAM-SK together with related equipment to RAST.
7 June, 2018 RAST received permission from the NBTC Secretariat to use the callsign HS50IARU to mark the 50th anniversary of the IARU Region 3 with permission to use the callsign until October 31, 2018.
21-22 June, 2018 RAST was honoured to receive an invitation to be speakers at a seminar entitled "The Principles of Communications and the Principles of being an Amateur Radio Operator" with officers of the NBTC from the head office and regional offices. The speakers were HS1FVL, HS2JFW and E21EIC.
1 July, 2018 RAST hosted its informal get-together for the month of July, 2018 at Sena Place Hotel in Phaholyothin Soi 11, Bangkok when the Society presented amateur radio cetificates to those who had passed the Intermediate Class examination 1/2561.
4 July, 2018 RAST President HS1FVL took part in a meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (morning).

5 July, 2018 RAST received support from the NBTC Secretariat with the funding of 200,000 baht in order to send a Thai representative to join in the WRTC 2018 competition in Germany and to send a representative to participate in the IARU Region 3 meeting in South Korea.
12-16 July, 2018 RAST supported sending E21EIC to join the WRTC 2018 competition in Germany.
14-15 July, 2018 RAST participated in the IARU HF Championship 2018 using the callsign E2HQ according to the document STC 5013/14847-37 dated May 31, 2018
17 July, 2018 The Society sent a speaker to explain "The first steps to operating amateur radio" to officials at the Sodick (Thailand) Company in Pathum Thani. Ref. Out. No. 0058/2561 dated June 26, 2018.
22-27 July, 2018 RAST received a letter from the Prime Minister's Office inviting participation in an exhibition of "volunteer activities to do good things from the heart" (also known as the "We Love Doing Good Exhibition") from the 22-27 July, 2018 at Sanam Luang. The invitation was numbered 0106/W 5186 and daated July 17, 2018.
22-23 July, 2018 RAST supported the CQWW VHF Contest 2018 (and received permission to operate in the 50 MHz band) using the callsign E2E.
1 August, 2018 RAST set up a remote station using the HS0AC callsign with information available at www.rast.or.th/remote-radio.
2 August 2018 RAST received received cooperation from the NBTC Secretariat to publish a handbook entitled "Emergency Commnication" for amateur radio operators with the society receiving assistance in translating material from HS1FVL, HS1EFA, HS1IFU, E20EHQ, HS1CVT, HS2JFW, E24MTA and HS1AAZ.
3 August, 2018 RAST, represented by HS1FVL took part in a meeting at the NBTC Secretariat.
4 August, 2018 RAST, represented by HS1FVL, HS6MYW and E20ZFD participated in a ceremony to pay homage to His Majesty King Rama V at the Secretariat of the NBTC to mark National Communications Day for 2018 in accordance with an invitation KS 0210/W 6138 dated July 12, 2018.
5 August, 2018 RAST hosted its informal get-together for the month of August, 2018 at Sena Place Hotel in Phaholyothin Soi 11 when E21EIC returned 40,000 baht which was the funds left over after his expenses on his trip to Germany to participate in the WRTC 2018 Contest and so that these funds could support RAST members who would attende the upcoming Tokyo Ham Fair.
11 August, 2018 RAST conducted a net to receive blessings for Her Majesty the Queen on her birthday on August 12, which is Mother's Day, using the callsign HS0AC and beginning at 19.00.
22 August, 2018 RAST sent details for those members who registered their intention to operate from 3.6 - 3.9 MHz and from 50-54 MHz in international contests in a letter RAST 0042/2561.

25-26 August, 2018 RAST, represented by HS1FVL, HS1JZT, E21EIC, E20NKB, HS1PGS, HS8JCV, E23NEZ and RAST members travelled together to the Tokyo Ham Fair 2018 in Tokyo, Japan.
2 September, 2018 RAST hosted its informal get-together for the month of September, 2018 at Sena Place Hotel in Phaholyothin Soi 11.
2 September, 2018 RAST prepared a video in order to spread the knowledge about amateur radio in three episodes with the support of E23FXX.
10-14 September, 2018 RAST sent HS1FVL, HS1JZT, E21EIC, E20NKB, E21FYK to join the IARU Region 3 Conference in Seoul, South Korea.
14 September 2018 RAST President HS1FVL was elected to be a Director of IARU Region 3 at the IARU Region 3 Conference in Korea.
14 September, 2018 RAST was nominated and approved in a vote at the IARU Region 3 Conference to be the host of the next IARU Region 3 Conference which will be held on 2021 in Bangkok.
22 September, 2018 RAST, with the assistance of the Thai VE Team, organized a US FCC Amateur Radio Examination 3/2561 in Bangkok.
25 September, 2018 RAST received an invitation to attend the fourth training course of the information technology and communications network in the event of a crisis organised by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society in accordance with the document DS 0206/W 8189.
2 October, 2018 The Society sent details of the outcome of the US FCC Amateur Radio Licence Exam in Bangkok in the document RAST 0057/2561.
5 October, 2018 RAST received permission from the Secretariat of the NBTC to set up ground stations to contact satellites for the benefit of amateur radio using the callsigns HS0AL in Bangkok, HS0AN in Lampang, HS0AO in Surin, HS0AP in Rayong and HS0AS in Songkhla.
7 October, 2018 RAST hosted its informal get-together for the month of October, 2018 at Sena Place Hotel in Phaholyothin Soi 11, Bangkok where students from the Bangkok Christian College explained the school's project to launch a Cubesat Satellite.
11 October, 2018 The Society sent details of particpation by members in the 3.6-3.9 MHz and 50-54 MHz spectrum during amateur radio contests in a letter RAST 0051/2561.
19 October, 2018 RAST, represented by HS1FVL received a request from the NBTC Secretariat 1185.01/2561 and 1185.02/2561 dated September 5, 2018 appointing hom to be a committee member to prepare terms of reference (TOR) for a project to study and adjust the use of frequencies according to footnotes T-P9 in the six metre band (50-54 MHz).
21 October, 2018 RAST organized an Advanced Class examination 1/2561 at Rajapruk University in Nonthaburi Province.
21 October, 2018 The HS0AC club station of the Society joined in the Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) activities No. 61 from October 19-21, 2018.
27-29 October, 2018 RAST participated in the CQWW DX SSB Contest.

3 November, 2018 RAST, represented by HS1FVL, attended a meeting of the Chon Buri Amateur Radio Society, HS2AC.
15 November, 2018 Rajapruk University, with the support of its chancellor, and RAST agreed to set up the club station HS0AC there, which is a new location.
24 November, 2018 RAST joined a meeting of the Saraburi Amateur Radio Society, HS1AR at the Saraburi sports field.
30 November, 2018 RAST President HS1FVL, in his capacity as a member of the subcommittee to develop amateur radio and frequencies for use by the public, took part in a meeting in order to become a member of a committee to decide on awards and presentations at Amateur Radio Day on December 15, 2018.
2 December, 2018 RAST hosted its informal get-together for the month of December, 2018 at Sena Place Hotel in Phaholyothin Soi 11, Bangkok.
15 December, 2018 RAST joined in Amateur Radio Day activities at the NBTC Secretariat in Bangkok and with an amateur radio station set up and using the callsign HS1NBTC. Some RAST members competed for prizes, with the leading prize for communication technology innovation going to HS7BHK while the leading prize for innovation in emergency communications went to HS1EFA and an honorable mention for his innovation in technology development went to HS1IFU, who also won the popular vote for his electronic go-kart. Meanwhile, RAST won the "Amateur Radio Organization Award" for overseeing amateur radio in Thailand as well as for international activities in 2018.
18 December, 2018 RAST joined on a press conference for the launch of Knacksat which was launched by the King Mongkut Institute of Technology for North Bangkok.
19-20 December, 2018 The Society, represented by HS1FVL and HS2JFW, joined in a meeting entitled "Creating a Satellite Flying Manual in the name of Thailand" in Chon Buri Province, with a document STC 3002/35122 dated December 3, 2018.
22-23 December, 2018 RAST, represented by E23PKO, HS0KRM, HS0VGE and E24MMV were speakers on the topic of DX at the Nakhon Phanom Amateur Radio Society (HS4AP).
22-23 December, 2018 RAST, represented by HS5NMF donated money in support of a project to spray steam in Omgoi District of Chiang Mai.
24 December, 2018 RAST, represented by HS1FVL participated in a meeting about the 50-54 MHz band at the NBTC Secretariat.
25 December, 2018 RAST was represented by HS1FVL at a meeting at the NBTC Secretariat about the JAISAT-1 amateur radio satellite.
31 December, 2018 RAST Registrar E20NKB summarized membership for 2018: 7 new life Gold Members (with two members being foreign nationals), new life Silver Members being 159 persons, with 14 being foreign nationals, 160 annual members.
31 December, 2018 From January 1 to December 31, 2018 a daily net was held in the 2-metre VHF babnd on the frequency of 144.9375 from 20.00 - 21.00 with net control operators being HS0VGE and E23NEZ.
