First Moneron Island DXpedition

The first DXpedition to Moneron Island was organized
by   Far East Islands DX Club   (FEIDXC).
The expedition included: Eugene RAØFF, Yuri RAØFU, Alex RAØFY,
Vadim RWØFO and Vlad UAØFZ.

The sole purpose of DXpedition was to meet the requirements for the
Moneron Island REF NUMBER under the IOTA program. During four days
of activity in the air, 1716 QSO (including IOTA contest) were established with
more than 80 countries on DXCC.

The official FEIDXC application for the Moneron Island Number had been sent to the RSGB
IOTA committee. All radio amateurs participating in the IOTA program are requested
to temporary use QSO/QSL "RKØFWL/p - Moneron Isl." as AS-Ø18, until the appropriate
REF Number for the Moneron Island is assigned.
