A mini CW key
Home-brewing and radio-amateurship have neither limits nor excuses, the people have some skill, a lot of times it does not show out because it is covered by laziness or even by a prejudice... antennas, inner antennas, simple electronic projects between others but... it has a lot of mechanics and much more imagination and creativity ... win over the inertia ... tuck up your sleeves and get on with it !
We show here the project of a CW key where 90% is mechanical construction and 10% electronics (two solder junctions).
The CURRUIRA with the key
How we build the key like:
We used 2 plates retired from a telephone set relay, showing a good flexibility and the contacts were almost new.
These plates were soldered to the copper side of two single side unetched printed circuit board, the relay plates had a protuberance where we solder the contact wires.
We stick the sandwich with instant glue (the PCB strips and the aluminum base)
A clothes button was stolen from the wife boxes, we choose one fitting comfortably on the finger, and it was stuck to the upper plate also with glue.
The miniature female jack connector is our standard for CW key contact, we stuck it with glue too and we soldered the connections.
The main advantage is its size, and it does not make noises too.
As a handicap it needs a base because it slips out with ease and it can be annoying.
Other idea coming from the sewing box is a kind of tissue sticking on others (velcro) ... gluing this under the key it will provide a key for portable use ... note 10.

Montagem caseira e radioamadorismo não possuem limites, nem desculpas, alguma habilidade a gente tem, muitas vezes ela não aparece pois esta acobertada por comodismo ou até mesmo por uma preguiça... antenas, antenas internas, montagens eletrônicas simples entre outras mais... tem muita mecânica e muito mais imaginação e criatividade ... vença a inércia ... arregasse as mangas e mãos a obra !
Mostramos aqui a montagem de um manipulador de CW onde 90% é mecânica e 10% eletrônica ( duas soldas ).
O CURRUIRA com o batedor
Como construímos o batedor:
Utilizamos 2 laminas retiradas de um relê de aparelho telefônico, que apresentavam uma boa flexibilidade e os contatos estavam praticamente novos.
Esta laminas foram soldadas do lado cobreado de duas tiras de placa para circuito impresso (PCI), as laminas de relê possuíam uma saliência onde soldamos os fios de contato.
Fixamos o sanduíche com cola instantânea (placas de PCI e base de alumínio)
O botão de roupa foi surrupiado das tralhas da patroa, escolhemos um que acomodava confortavelmente o dedo, e foi fixado a lamina superior também com cola.
O conector banana miniatura é nosso padrão para contato da chave de CW, colamos também com cola e soldamos as conexões.
A vantagem principal é o tamanho, mas também não faz ruídos.
Como desvantagem ele precisa de uma base de borracha pois desliza com facilidade e isso eu vou providenciar.
Outra idéia vinda das investidas na caixa de costura é um tipo de tecido que adere em outros ... colando este por baixo do batedor daria um batedor para uso no joelho ... nota 10.
