This Packet-Radio interface is compatible with Atari ST equipped with a built-in serial port. With use of the standard SP software for Atari ST, the external TNC have been replaced by a simple, low-cost 9600 Baud FSK modem.Total material costs: approximately $15 USD.



The home-built 9600bd Packet-Modem is fully functional and requires no specialized parts. It operates using only a 74HC123 and a TL064.

Supports both 9600bd FSK and 1200bd AFSK (switchable, not simultaneous).
Gateways require two MFP chips. Atari TT has two; standard STs have one but can be modified.
Atari Falcon (F030) is unsupported without a MAX232 modification.
Requires a Hostmode-compatible terminal such as SP6.5 or DigiPoint 4.10.
