Dear Klaus,

After "consulting" Rick NU7Z, I learned i need to chekc up with youfor
accurate list of EME stations.
Can you please provide me a XLS formatted list for active
stationsincluding Email adresses for 432 / 1296 / 10368MHz.

You may reply to: [email protected]

For your information:
432MHz.
Last month finally installed elevation capability for 4x 13el on 70cm.
I know it is very poor but it will give me the challenge to get
moreexperience on EME for 432MHZ.
Amplifier is K2RIW (1000Wts), 0.3dB NF.
This station is at my home and also used for tropo.

For 3cm:
still building the azimuth mechanics for the 3m dish
200Watt TWT available / n.f 0.8dB
This station is still as my garden but it cannot stay herepermanently.
I'll build the complete set-up initially to run the first tests
withlimited moonwindow.
When all ok, then I intend to move this station to a nearbyScouting group
location for much better moon window and also add1296MHz capability.

For 1296MHz I started a project for a small mobile EME station tobe used
in BV land.
Due to severe company problems in the beginning of the year. Thisproject
was stopped. now after getting away from all the "shit" I tryto recover
this work and proceed to finalize this job. The station ishorn with
complete transverter and amplifier mounted behind thehorn. IF is 144MHz.
I'm now working on the trx of Micheal Kuhne, but would appreciatemore
support in parts to finish this job. Sofar JA4BLC did supportpreamp and
amplifier modules.

I think this station could be used quite easy for portable useanywhere.
(rare grids?). Maybe I'll release it for this as well when itis finished.

Please note we had to scrap the 6m dish last year and currentlynot active
on EME at all.
432MHz will be the first try again soon.
My locator: JO22.

Thanks in advance for your help.

K1RQG de DJ5MN

Dear Joe,

I now have a privat email address:

[email protected]

This email-address can also be given to other EMEers.

Please send your net-notes from now on also to my private
address.

I still need QSL-cards from the following stations, which I have
worked on 23cm-EME more than half a year ago and I have already sent
my QSLs with self addressed envelope and sufficient return postage
to them without any reply:

KB2AH
K5JL
N2IQU
K2DH

What do I have to do to get cards from these stations?
HELP seems to be very much needed!

I will be on 23cm 4th and 5th September.
Now I have two completely seperated 23cm-stations here:

1.   2 times 70 ele yagis, RS1064/1062-tube-PA, 0.36 dB NF preamp
2.   3 m  dish, TH327-PA, 0.32 dB NF preamp

===============================
Hello 144,432 and 1296 eme'rs.

I will be qrv for the contest from a new location.During the contest I will
use the club call GX4NOK if possible as it will be a multi op effort. In the
UK we are not allowed to use club special prefixes for RSGB contests and so
we must use G4NOK. Does this rule apply to the ARRL contest? G4NOK is the
North Wakefield Radio Club and it is located near Leeds in IO93FR.The eme
stations are all mine but during contests I will always use the club call if
I can get other operators. If I have to go single op I will use my call
G0RUZ. G0RUZ, G4NOK and GX4NOK are all the same station and do not count as
seperate initials.

I have move all operation to this site as I lost a planning battle, I do not
operate any radio from home. The radio club site is 15 minutes drive from my
home and is a very good site.It is quiet and has no TVI!
I think therefore that anyone working me on 144 or 432 who have worked me
previously can count G0RUZ as a new initial. The equipment is entirely
different and the location is 20km from the old qth.It is however in the
same grid square IO93.

Equipment 144
4 x 3wl BV mgf1302 IC746 gs35b QRV 3-4 weeks

Equipment 432
4x 10wl BV mgf 1302 IC746 DEM transverter GS35B QRV ????

Equipment 1296
3.7 M paraclipse wd5ago preamp 0.33 dB N.F DB6NT transverter
IC746 200 watts at least .
YD1336 cavity on the bench 600 watts?
QRV 5-6 weeks.

I hope this information is useful.I will let you know when I am ready to
take skeds.

Today I completed assembly of my 3.7m paraclipse dish and tried some sun
noise measurementsI have the following questions.

I am using a VE4MA feed with a quadrature hybrid (the DJ9BV design) what is
the best way to optimise the feed position in the dish?

The dish has an F/D of 0.4 and so the scalar ring on the feed is flush with
the end of the horn. This is as published and I hope it is correct as the
feed is aluminum and has been mig welded! I cannot adjust this part.I would
also be interested in any photos anyone has of their support for this type
of feed.

Sun noise measurements. This was far from ideal, I had the bandwidth on the
IC746 set to 15khz bandwidth and the AGC turned off. I then used an accurate
audio millivolt meter and used a step attenuator to see the sun noise.I
expect that this is prone to all kinds of non linearities. I do have an
Anritsu power meter with a 0-12 Ghz head which is similar to a Hewlett
Packard meter. If I understand things correctly I need a high gain amp with
good linearity at the IF frequency (144 Mhz in my case) to feed the power
meter.I understand that G3WDG has designed one.The problem is I don't have
time to build this before the contest as I have lots to do.Is my method
acceptable for now?

I would also like some advice as the best (ie lowest loss) method of feeding
the preamp from the hybrid. On the tx relay I will use an HF400 and probably
a Transco for the rx side.I think that the insertion loss of this relay is
excellent however I will check. What is an optimum and practical method of
getting from the hybrid to the relay and then  to the preamp?Any
recommendations as to which coax to use?I hope to be able to keep the length
very short.I would be interested if anyone has any tips for this.

I will try to be on for the contest.Fingers crossed.
