I have for sale or (FREE to prospective EME ham) my old tubular tower by

MA-550.  The main mast of this tower is all that remains. (20ft)
crank-up mast Inserts have been removed. 

Unit supported my 16 - 432 yagi’s in fine shape.  This tilt-over tower
would be perfect for 5 m dish.

US Tower has a very nice informative web-site but apparently lack in
photography experience.  So anyone

seriously interested in this offer email me [email protected] and I
will send you photographs of the 

tower laying on the ground in a location which has been declared in
violation of property restriction #101 by 

my XYL.  She has unfortunately recalled my promise to remove it when my
30ft dish project was completed.

Conditions:  Proud recipient must pick-up in Bluffton, IN - K9SLQ QTH.
I have equipment to load it onto a 

large boat trailer or truck.  Very heavy 20 Ft long. 

30 days from today tower must be picked up.

during the last weekend of October I will be QRV on 3cm EME
with my tiny station signing DJ5MN 

Details of my small 3cm-station :
more than 100 watt at feed (vertical polarization)   
1.5 m parabolic dish (f/D 0.407, gain 42.4 dBi), manually turned in azimuth 
and elevation (visible moon) (dish has limited window) preamp less than 0.6 
dB NF Now I am looking for those 10GHz-EME-freaks who are interested in trying 
with me in the contest and like to arrange a sked.

Sunday, Oct 31 :   0115  UTC  to 0545 UTC

WA1JOF: still has a bit more outside work to do.. all the major work is done
        now, and just a few more tweaks and will be ready for receive tests..

W2UHI:  raining hard today.. been paying more attention to baseball than 
        radio.. but been checking the equipment on occasion.. 

W4RDI:  just put antenna back up.. the tower is now back up. This was lowered
        back before hurricanes.. there was no hurricane dammage.. 

K5JL:   Was at MUD last week and had good time with all the regulars.. there 
        were a few new ones there.. 

W5LUA:  a bit under the wx.. MUD went well.. not feeleing too well .. 
        will be on 24ghz, 13cm on Friday night, then to 10ghz Sat .. then 
        hopes to be on 5.7ghz.. maybe a bit of 3.4ghz .. 

K9SLQ:  will be around to play around on the moon this weekend.. 

KC7MXF: AZ.. 

W9IIX:  working on driver amp .. nothing else to report.. 

K0DD/M: Bob.. SD .. currently putting together a 70cm & above EME station.. 
        no ele yet.. needs to get preamps on tower.. 2x38el M2 and 8938 amp.
        Pretty good shot to East.. now traveling from Fl to SD.. about 
        2 weeks away from testing on EME horizon.. pulling a trailer with
        heavy duty tower .. 23cm plans too.. 

WB7QBS: will be gone 2 more weekends.. 

K0RZ:   looking for K0DD on EME.. will be on EME next weekend looking for 
        70cm activity.. 

DL9KR:  good condx on 20 meters.. not happy with those that are going 
        against ARRL rules.. 

DJ5MN:  not available on 70cm EME.. maybe next weekend will be on QRV on 
        10ghz. QRV 0030z-0445z Sat .. 0115-0545z on Sun 31.. 1.5mtr dish
        and 150w-200w and H pol.. hears well.. may be on 23cm & 70cm in Dec.

NA4N:   dish progress is slow .. machining is slow.. hopes that sometime 
        this week to get the horn and mount ready.. still working on the 
        cabling to check out why power is varying at the dish.. 

OZ4MM:  will be on 13cm next weekend.. will still be on 13cm during the
        US window and also JA window.. 

N7KA:   interesting day at White Sands.. visited 150 yds from ground zero.
        slow EME progress.. hopes to be at K0YW for Dec weekend.. 

WA9FWD: raining.. was at MUD and nice wx.. back to Wi.. and lousy wx.. 
        for OZ4MM, WA9FWD will be looking on 13cm.. hopes to work W5LUA
        on 3.456.. have ordered xtal for 2320 rcv.. not arrived yet.. but
        hopes to be rcv on 2320mhz.. so look for John on 2304 and he will
        be listening on 2320 .. 

VE4MA:  will be out of town most of the week.. so prep time is minimal.. 
        was talking to guys that developed SDR radio, and they are looking
        into writing some software to work with the SDR at 10ghz and up
        range.. to generate a modulation scheme to reduce the effcts of
        freq spreading on higher bands, thus helping to allow use of DSP 
        at these higher freqs.. 

MI3JJK/M: .. Johnny.. 

VE6TA:  listening with interest regarding 13cm activity. 2304, 2320 & 2424
        also using HB downconverter [MMDS] and was able to chenge ref
        xtal to downconvert 2320 to 6 meters. has anyone used hi powered
        400-1000mhz Bird slug to measure 2304 ?? trying to measure 300w
        at 2304.. prices of MMDS and solidstate amps are very good.. 

K9BCT/M: not much from Fl.. had a  nice visit with W4OP.. Just waiting 
        second half of contest.. will be listing FT-736R on e-bay.. 
        but would like a prospective [or active] EMEer to get it.. 
        6m, 2m, 432m, and 1296.. 

PA3CSG: was active on 23cm & 70cm during the contest.. will not be on 
        microwave weekend , but will be on 23cm & 70cm during Dec weekend.

9H1ES:  preparing for 10ghz next weekend.. will be V for Eur.. as well
        as for USA .. hopes to make at least on QSO on 10ghz.. please 
        be slow on CW. Fortunado would like to have a cassette recording
        of 10ghz CW.. trying to use DSP-599 and would like to compare 
        how to set up rcv. see web site   www.qsl.net/pa3csg  for mp3
        files.. 

KL6M:   working hard to get on 2304 next weekend.. has preamp, rcvr, 
        and 200w and feed is mostly done.. hopes to make it on.. 

WA0WPJ: not much going on.. 

K5GW:   nothing.. 

W5UN:   does the FT-1000D antenna tuner have a backup battery ???
