Subj:    NET NOTES Comment for SEP 26, 2004
Date:   9/25/04 4:36:39 PM Eastern Daylight Time
From:   [email protected] (Mike)
To:     [email protected]

Joe,

Thanks very much for reformatting the Net Notes.  It looks perfect now.

I got up early to check into the net today, but zero propagation.  So here is
my current status in writing instead.  I have finally finished a year long
project to improve my feed mounting/servicing system.  The pictures are on my
website at http://www.qsl.net/kl6m/wiplinks.htm    Click on #5, Feed.

We are getting our first snow of the year today.  It is very heavy but will
probably melt (I hope).  +3C here now, +10 next week.

This weekend I am working on the following:

1. Re-doing the 70cm feed for the new mounting system
2. Replacing the 70cm Transco-Y with a new K&L 810C5I100 3500 watt relay.
3. Installing my repaired KAØRYT (0.15dB NF) 70cm preamp. Thanks Ron!
4. Building septum feeds (OK1DFC design) for 13cm (for me) and 23cm (for K6JEY).
5. QSL backlog!!! Yikes!

I hope to be QRV next weekend on either 70cm or 2M.  I have a new polarity
rotation system which I need to build a controller for before the weekend.  If
I have "interruptions" I may not make it.

Subj:    storm report

Gm Joe,
I'm catching the storm bands as Jeanne travels to the west coast. Very strong
bursts of wind, with very hard rain. So far no major damage, but still have
many hours of storm bands left, as Jeanne is predicted to turn north and go
up the gulf coast toward Tallahassee.  I lost power around 4am local, but
have the miller bobcat running now, and have enought gas for about 3 days.
