K1RQG: some of the comments that follow are in regard to the effectiveness of the EME nets
on 20 meters and chat sessions on lower bands. My comments will appear in the heading
of next Saturdays NET NOTES.
K9BCT/M: just traveling home from N Florida.. has not been on moon.. hopes to be home and on
the moon tonight.. just going through Orlando and observing heavy dammage from
Hurricane Charlie.. Piles of rubble.. just going by a huge field [est 50 acres] that
they are collecting uprooted trees and stacking them in this field..
WA9NGO: hello to net..
W5LUA: ??? about WA4OFS ??? still working on 47ghz p/s .. actually working on 13kv stuff and
needs to be real careful with layout..
W2UHI: storms from the West come across the lake and end up in Frank's back yard.. Frank's
EME activities and search for information are on the 20 meter EME net or shooting the
breeze on HF live with others as well as publications that are available.. Frank
feels that trying to get new blood into EME should be real time ..
N7KA: needs to get off the net.. has to work on a jeep for upcoming event.. 20 meters is
far easier to get on than EME.. LOOKING FOR CONNECTORS: FOR FSJ4-50B [SUPERLEX]
K0YW: did have succes when W3XO was visiting and the echo demo went well..
VE4MA: just in from morning walk.. did get a new computer yesterday in anticipation of
interface of SDR-1000 ..
KB9AJM: Tom..
K5JL: J believes that the 20 net has been extremely helpful to beginners as well as the
seasoned EMEer.. countless stations have benefitted by net activity..
WA1JOF: progress is slow but positive.. hopes to make noise on moon in a couple weeks..
other home projects have been in the way..
K0TAR: Tom reminds us that if you go to <taring.org:8000>, with windows media player
and you can listen to the net and past 2 nets.. Tom encourages you to try this
however next week will not be active.. your comments back to Tom are welcome..
[email protected] @@@@@@@@ or go to www.taring.org for links at top of page.
[NOTE FROM K1RQG: I TRIED THE LINKS WITH NO SUCCESS, I WILL FOLLOW-UP WITH TOM]
