Dear Joe and all,

A big typhoon hits western JA today.  It's a hot and stormy summer here.    A heavy rain
caused severe flood in Niigata JA0 and Toyama JA9 last two weeks.   It reminds the same
situation occured in Prague two years ago.

I wonder how many active EME ops will attend the EME conference next weekend.  I cannnot
go there because of a national conference for my job in the same week here.

A suggestion for other EME ops that do not go there.
How about SKD for the off-conference activities?
I think I can spare time for Friday night and Saturday,
and Sunday at day time here for 1296 mhz.

Hi Joe,

Marc and my energy right now is being devoted to the final preparations
for EME2004. The more than 200 pages of the conference digest has been
printed and is ready for distribution as are the CD's, the tee shirts
have been received and look great, preparations for the Friday night
receptions at my and K1JT's QTHs, breaks, lunch are underway. We will
also have tours of Linearizer Technology, Inc available on Thursday
afternoon for anyone that is interested and arrives early.

We hope to see all who can make it to the conference.

Dear Joe,
We had a nice night with K9SLQ trying to work a sked on 1296Mhz.
Everything seemed to work well. We just heard pieces of each other's
signals but were not able to make a go of it. I think I need a little more
work on the amplifier and we need to try when the declination is higher.
The whole set up is portable and this was the first time everything was
hooked up and going. We did confirm that everything worked. We were getting
13db of sun noise. It was also fun to check into the local 1296 WSWSS net
with the rig. Not much problem that way!
I am also concerned about feeding the .3 f/d dish. There is some concern
that intrinsically the patch feed has very poor isolation. Does anyone have
any experience/suggestions on feeding .3 dishes?
More experimenting. Thanks to K9SLQ for his patience, KJ6HZ, John, and my
wife Helen for helping with setup and operation.
I'll have pictures at the Conference.

Dear Joe,
Tnx for e-mail the net notes.
I change the e-mail. If you send the e-mail please

New add:  willi,bauer@airport .etat.lu from 01.08.2004 on              @@@@@@@@

Tnx dear Joe hop all is well on your side. Actually I am
very busy as my daughter and my son are constructing
houses so the most of free time is to help them. End of the year
daughter house suppose to be finished and June next year
the son house as well.
But in the evenings I still work for EME. Just finished the new
feed system with the transverter and  a new transistor PA on 5,6 GHz
with 250W out in the feed.
( 56A at 12V) problem to bring this to the feed point of the Dish.

Actually I work on the new feed system for 10GHz including the transverter
and the new transistor PA and 120W out in the feed.
I will send you photo via e-mail of both.

3400MHz is also operative on the 10m dish with 1.2dB moon noise 125W at feed point
in circular same feed type like 1296 and 2304 and SSB echoes are with
10dB over noise just waiting for other stations for activity on that band.
My freq. is 3400 MHz but RX also on 3456MHz. Years ago I made first
QSO with WB5LUA and VE4MA that the only once.

So Joe  best 73 and meet you on 14.345 on the next WE.
