Hi Joe,
I am QRV on 1296,044MHz in JT44 EME for QRP stations with 1x or 2x 5m Yagi +EL. and
~170W at feed.(On 23cm was JT44 better as JT65, I believe). I had a good 23cm EME
QSO with OH0/OH3MCK in JT44 and with SV3/DL2NUD in JT44 (and later in JT65C with
problems) In JT65 is not a long DX- peditions Call possible.

Hi Joe,

I will be doing the NL this weekend.  I tried to get your attention
during the 20 m net, but you did not hear me.

I was on 70 and QSO'd LU7DZ yesterday.  This was not an initial as I
worked Ed several years ago, but it was nice to work him again.  I agree
with SM2CEW's comments on the strength of DL0NUD's 23 cm signal in SV.
He was very definitely workable on CW. OH0/OH3MCK's was nearly as
strong.  These little dxpeditions do a lot to keep interested up.  I
really appreciate their efforts - many tnx!

Also please mention the EME Conference -- time is running out!  We still
have only about 25 paid registrants - help.

Hi Joe there seems to be no propagation to you today,...but we have 2m Es at present...
intermittently...and 10 Ghz rain scatter...so its not dull!
Last night on 1296  I had a nice CW chat  with W2UHI and also worked OZ6OL and a new
one for me I5MPK who I heard echo testing and so I called him! No other signals heard
although W9IIX told me he was on but I heard nothing from him. I wonder if Doug has the
frequency correct, I know he has been changing his gear.
have a good week,

Hi Joey, Thanks for a good net this AM. Your efforts are duly noted here!
Re the

AK 6M opening last night. One of the 3 stations worked was Dan ex K5WXN, now AL7TR. He is
enjoying his new home and hopes to be back on 144 EME and maybe other bands this summer.
He passed best regards to you and thegang. 73 Bruce

Now my comments and you may publish:

It seems many might have missed the point of our starting discussion on
yesterdays net...
It is a fact that contest activity is down and random eme on all bands is
down even more.
We need to do something to stimulate the activity level.   There are many
stations that could be active if they chose to be.   It is not the fact
that you work the same ole stations again and again or the 9-11 ordeal...
They are not just getting on the air..   We need to find a way to motivate
activity.   It appears that the League via it comments and publications
have not come up with the answers.  They could inspire additional activity
thru their media if they were so inclined to do so.

We have all the help that is needed after one researches the books.   The
Twenty meter net has led to many getting their eme stations operational and
optimized. Come up and ask your questions - if you like the answers you get
- then do it...   There are many technics to choose from - some even work.
It hurts me to see some people bashing some of the ole gang that has
built (good) antenna system and put together old type tube amplifiers (that
work), which is beyond the capability of the average amateur.

Remember - this is a hobby to Enjoy and have Fun with..     These these
goals are not achieved - then you had better go do something else.
