Today, I finished up all my antenna work for EME. I now run a single
cross-polarity 3 W.L. on 144, a single 9 W.L. horizontal on 432 and
3 Meter Dish with new 300 watt amp on 1296.

I went to single yagis on 144 and 432 to eliminate losses from
misaligned/cut phasing lines and power dividers, overhanging of
neighboring houses and less wind load on the tower with the
expense of antenna gain . I am now going to try "European style EME"
with single yagis since I am seeing so much success here on the
reflector.

I fired up the new K6KWQ amplifier that utilizes Mats new single GS-15B
RF cavity today and it runs great. I now get loud CW and SSB echoes on
1296. This amp is definitely the way to go on 1296 !! Thanks Dick K6KWQ
for the outstanding workmanship and design of the chassis and biasing of
the 1296 amp.

I put out a sked request for WA4NJP on 432 for May 14th 1200 UTC ( not
confirmed yet ) and can be QRV CW/JT-65 anytime after that.

The new version of WSJT works great with the new "compact display
version " of Spectran and am now finding that the sensitivity of the
waterfall display on Spectran is better than FFTDSP.

Subj:    GE?  GL 51064 TUBE
Date:   5/15/04 1:29:30 AM Eastern Daylight Time
From:   [email protected]
To:     [email protected]

Dear Joe and Moon Net members:

I am looking for the spare tube for a UHF coaxial cavity.
Perhaps GE?-manufactured tube GL 51064, coaxial-base
tetrode, or the substitute.

There is no detailed info in hand, but this cavity may
tune above 350MHz originally, since it has a LPF of 400MHz
cut-off.

Any info would be grateful.  TNX.

W5LUA will be on after 1200Z on 2304/2320 on Sunday. Years ago, I planted some trees in the
wrong location that limit my moon visibility when the declination is lower.
