Hello Joe,
I sold the Icom-1271A as it does not work very well for EME ( too
little IF RX gain , need lots of RX gain for EME ) . I have a LT-23S on
the way so my 1296 RX should be improved. Also got my 1296 dish more
optimized, I should be up on 23 CM EME within afew weeks for more tests.
K5JL, J, have been working with me one-on-one through emails for help (
Thanks J !!! )

Hello !

I added 13 contacts in the 2nd part for a total of 29 x 19. My preamp
caused some problems so the reception was rather poor on my side with
lots of noise. I hope to improve rx till dubus contest next year.

I have a 3 meter dish that is currently used for AO-40 but has the
capability of being used for 432 EME and I would like to see if I can
"monitor" any of the EME skeds.  A few years ago I had reasonable success
with 144 MHz EME but had to take down the antenna array due to neighborhood
complaints.  I am now using the less obvious dish and considering 432
EME.  So if there is a web site that has sked information I would
appreciate knowing.  73s   W7UPF

Dear friends

We have put our full EME Contest Logs for 144, 432 and 1296 MHz on our
home-page at www.hb9q.ch !

During the first leg of the contest we had a RX problem on 1296 MHz. After
the contest we found out that our sun-noise was only 15dB. It used to be at
approx. 22 dB before.
HB9BBD did help us to optimize our 1296 MHz RX before the second leg of the
contest. The result is great, we now have 25 dB sun-noise, 3 dB more then
ever! We did use a HB9BBD designed and built preamp. For more detail see
www.hb9bbd.ch! We are very thankful Dominique did have time to help us with
his great know-how and his state of the art  equipment.

Hi Joe,
hi Al,
for NetNotes & NewsLetter - thanks:

Gentlemen, as you have seen, I ran a survey around the EME Directory in
the past few weeks.  It took 400 EMails with nearly 80% replies and lots
of time. The result can be found  on my WebSite http://www.dl4eby.de, as
usual.

If there are any EMEers that read the NetNews but didn't received a
request for update from me, please drop me a line ([email protected]) and
also Warren, W2WD ([email protected]), as I used his EME EMail Address
Listing for this purpose.

Thanks in advance, and Season's Greetings,
Klaus, DL4EBY

Subj:    24 GHz freq for EME

Hallo Joe,

I just found out that during the IARU region 1 conference from last november
a decision was taken to move narrowband activity from 24192 to 24048 MHz.
I would like to know what the worldwide EME frequency will be after this
decision. If the EME frequency will stay on 24192 MHz than I don't want to
move to 24048 MHz even for the normal tropo work.
I don't know if IARU region 1 has taken any steps to coördinate this
decision to become a wordlwide EME frequency.
I am very interested what the opinion of the EME community on 24 GHz is.

I forwarded this message also to the chairman of the IARU region 1 VHF
group.

Hello Joe,

I have been QRV during the ARRL contest on 10 GHz EME. With help of PA5DD,
because I am not experienced CW operator, we managed to make 7 QSO's all
random. From these where 5 new initials for me. We had some problems with
HB9BHU which we copied as HK9KHU and we transmitted this callsign back and
received R's back. After listening to the audio recordings it proved to be
HB9BHU.
I got audio recordings from all the QSO's on my webpage via:
http://home.wxs.nl/~alphe078/ehgoneme.htm
We heard several other stations but no reply from OK1KIR and DK7LJ in SSB.
We missed F2TU who copied us and came back, and CT1DMK because moon
elevation was to high for him.
I hope to be more active, perhaps with the help of PA5DD who did a good job
as CW operator. I can be reached via mail at : [email protected]

73  Hans  PA0EHG

Today I received a mail from JA9BOH on the 10 GHz activity from JA7BMB which
I forward to you now.

Hiroshi was QRV on 10.450GHz  in ARRL 2nd leg .
He had  his #2 QSO with F2TU  M-M both on 10.450GHz and with OK1UWA M-O
And tried F2TU on 10.450/10.368 GHz crossband QSO but he was not sure with
final Rs.
Beside of 3cm , he QRVed 2.424GHz and worked W5LUA  549-559 on 2.304GHz.
He heard  JA4BLC on 2.424GHz and 10 stations  including CWNR OK1CA , ZS6AXT
and
G3LTF on 2.304GHz and2.320GHz .
He reported his 2.424GHz echo was 10dB weaker than JA4BLC but reasonnable
level at his side.
