Hi Joe,

The following is an announcement for the SSB Contest. I would appreciate
your promoting it on the Net and in your Netnotes. I have also attached
a PDF version with a picture of the certificate for last year's chief
"Fun Maker"!

EME SSB CONTEST: If you can operate 1296 EME, whether you can operate
SSB or not, you will want to participate in the EME SSB Contest. This
contest is meant to be a fun event. The big signals do help the smaller
stations get in on the fun, so the top scoring station will receive a
hansom framed certificate. This year the SSB contest starts on 23 Feb at
1230 Z and continues to 24 Feb at 1230. (The intention is to give
everyone one common moon pass.) Operation is on 1296 only. Scoring will
be contact points times number of Grid Sectors (IO, JM, FN, ...). SSB to
SSB contacts will count as 2 points. SSB to CW (or CW to SSB) 1 point.
The exchange is your Grid Sector. Only the 2 sector letters need be
sent. Operation may be by single or multiple operators. No distinction
for scoring will be made. CW only stations are encouraged to
participate. Log should be sent to the "432 and Up EME NL" c/o K2UYH by
email [email protected] ASAP.

-------

Also regarding the skeds: I removed W2WD's sked from the list as Warren
is shut down for the winter.

Weren't you just looking for a 23cm amplifier for someone on the net?
Randy

1296 Amp - N6CA design mounted on a 5-1/4' beige rack panel with a
single rectangular bezel mounted Weston (read expensive!) meter.
Includes PC mounted bias board (wired), filament xformer, bias xformer,
and a biscuit blower for low power operation.  Wiring between components
not yet done and the input coil is not yet mounted on the input tuning
caps - a 5 minute job!  $ US 200 with tube.   (No HV supply - requires
1200-1500 VDC or so).  My other one yields 200w on 1296 Mhz water-cooled
with about 15 watts drive.
