********* As some of you may have noticed, I have not been around for a few
weeks due to extreme conditions at work. No time for NET, or e-mails or QSL
or any family activities. Please be patient, and I should be back to normal
work conditions after Christmas. I will send out QSLs after the holidays.

Joe,
Hi to all on EME NET. Still working on 1296 setup when time permits.
Being on from from NC with Dale W4OP was fun. It has me "fired up".
Also, I have changed the link to the W4OP eme ops has changed....
http://members.aol.com/w4sc/w4op_eme.html is the correct link.
The other link was a little long, and I had mixed in a capital "O"...
New one is a little less confusing. The original link is still there,
it re-directs you to the new named link. I may post the entire W4OP
wav file from the contest provided by G4CCH, (890K).
About 40 seconds worth.
Joe, good luck on getting your dish going again.
Seasons greetings to all.

Finally got the 1296 cavity fired up and am trying to get the screen and bias
supply adjusted, but with difficulty. Russ, N7ART, designed them and will
check with TAY, W6HD, to see if a better schematic is the way to go. Am
anxious to get Darrell's EME gear going then maybe we can keep the Dish on
the Moon !! We had 5" of snow the other day and we put our new 5KW DEICER
to use and it went well for 6 hours then quit ! Found later it had opened
up on one of the ribs so was able to repair it from the ground with the dish
on the horizon. We are learning !! With the Amp working am able to hear my
echo's for the first time. My biggest problem now is.......getting better
calibration on the dish.....for AZ and EL using F1EHN software and Darrells
control unit with new encoders for them. Then will attempt to get the new
waveguide installed from Darrell. Keep up the good work. We appreciate
your endeavors, Joe. 73 Jack N7AM

Hi Joe,
I think it would be worthwhile to repeat the following info from the NL
in your net notes and possibly announce on the net. I have a feeling
there are a number of active stations that never see the NL.
Don't forget EME SSB Contest. This contest will again occur
in Feb. on the 23/24 Feb. SW. We will have the full rules in
the next NL, but they will be similar to last year with
operation on 23 cm for only one moon window.
This month NL also includes G3SEK's Lunar Calendar on which
I have indicated the proposed Swiss with an "*". Please take a
look at the calendar and let me know if you agree. I have
biased the selections toward a high declination rather than
minimum path loss. In most cases I think the selections are
very clear. There is still time to make changes.
