Hi Joe,

just to give notice I'm back to normal moonbounce activities for 70 and 23
after a successful, but very dangerous HF-operation on Isla Maddalena
(because of scorpions and hurricane Juliette...). Will be on 23cm on 27th /
28th of October, although it is not a sked weekend ( I'm off for the
sked-weekend 3./4.11. unfortunately). Maybe someone is there...As it looks
like, and weather permitting, I will be on for the 2nd leg in the contest.

I still need QSL's for 23cm mb from: HB9BBD, F2TU, OE9XXI, OK1KIR, OZ6OL,
W2UHI, VE1ALQ, IK2MMB, W5LUA, KD4LT.

The final courtesy of a QSO is a QSL.......?

Good morning Joe.....Just to let you know there is a new kid on the block......
We are attempting to get better organized on 1296 with a New TS2000X, YL1052
final, 30' Dish, and am getting from VE1AQL, Darrell, a new waveguide, Control
Box, and 2 tube driver.  Sun Noise measurements show only 15 db.  Am verifying
the focal point and if  it stays where it is we will use the new waveguide
from Darrell.  Reports from the last weekend show we heard VE9DW, K0YW, K5JL,
and worked OE9XXI AND K0YW.  Peter, SM5CEW  said he heard me 529 while working
the OE9.....was using 35 watts to the dish via 150' of LDF 6-50 COAX.
Am learning how to take Sun Noise measurements and use the tracking equipment.
Need to practice more using the Doppler effect and use the TS2000 to set the
transmit offset doppler.  Have not heard any echo's yet....maybe when I learn
how to use the doppler controls better we will.  Thank you for your consideration,
Joe.  73   Jack  N7AM

yes, the focal point will have to verified, then add the new feed from
Darrell.  Need much practice on the Doppler using the TS2000X.  Have not
heard any echo's yet, but maybe later when we get more power.  Thank you Joe
for your consideration.  73  Jack  N7AM

Dear Al, dear Joe,
please implement the following info in netnotes and newsletter concerning
"DJ5MN":
- it is done! Hurrray! With my 2.95m-dish I worked my initial number
100 - it was K1RQG before the contest weekend in october on 23cm.
- in contest worked three new ones (all on random): F6ETI, DH0OAH and
  W2DRZ (initial 103 on 23cm)
- contest activity was lower than last year, but have not counted  QSOs
  and multis yet.
- will be available for sked on November 1st to 5th (prefer orbit 4th to
5th of november) on 23cm. Need a lot of stations, e.g.
  K6DV, K7XQ, N7AM, VE4MA, WA6PY, KB0PYO, F5HRY, W7QX, NL7F, VE6NA..
just to name some...hihi... perhaps Joe can arrange skeds with those who
  confirm in the net?
- will be QRV in contest on 23cm in november, but still limited
window to America (damned trees in  neighbours garden...need
a dark night and a big saw)
- 10GHz-EME: components nearly ready, got a preamp with serious NF
of 0.5 dB and waveguide input.  TWT-PA stable at 150 plus W
- 10GHz ready in spring for first skeds
- 23cm: try to compine two cavity AMPs with TH327...difficult as
it looks like to be just too much QRO (connectors burnt...hihi), but
  running OK generally
- QSL: QSLed all my initials, but still in need of QSLs of about
15 initials worked longer ago (gentlemen, do not only set up
huge dishes, but also fill in little QSLs!)
- everything fine so far: new house under construction..lots of work!
- See you in the contest and many thanks to all those who QSOed with me
  already.
- Best reflexions to all EME enthusiasts

Best 73 to all,
