Hi Joe,
I tried to get your attention on 20 m this past Saturday with no luck.
You were not that loud, but I was surprised no one else heard me.
I did not complete with SK0CC, see below, so I need another sked.
[Hi Sven,
Very frustrating... I heard you every transmission period. Not real
strong, but definitely (O) copy. I put my TX freq on yours so that you
would hear my signal on the same freq as your own echoes. I tried every
different polarization, but you apparently did not copy me. You were
vertical. Under the geometric pol conditions, I should not have needed
to change my pol between RX and TX. But when you did not reply I tried
anyway. Finally (at 2122.5 Z I think or the period before), I move my
frequency up 1 KHz increase you were only tuning at .033. I did not
hear you at 2125. Shortly after the sked I did some echo testing and
someone came on frequency. I called you again, but there was not
reply. My own echoes were excellent at all times.]
Except for Central States I have little traveling planned for the rest
of the summer, so I should be more available for skeds the next few
months.
I will send you a list of stations needed for July.

Hello Joe,
Heard my first 1296 EME station with G4CCH last weekend. I recorded it
and put it on my webpage at http://members.aol.com/k7xq1/k7xq.html. He
didnt hear me because i was only running 20 watts and a 10 foot dish. I
will be getting a VE4MA feedhorn within the week.. I also will be
acquiring a dual 2C39 amp within the month as well. I hope to be fully
QRV by this coming lunar weekend. My sked with DL9KR on 432 EME was
unsuccessful. I was hoping to also hear my first 432 EME signal, but that
was my only attempt. Anyway, I will keep working on my station and try to
be QRV 432 ans 1296 on this lunar weekend. Lionel is helping optimize my
setup on my 2 Meter station

Subj: [Moon-Net] Initial EME Tests with the NEW 30' Dish !!
Date: 7/6/01 5:53:50 PM Eastern Daylight Time
From: [email protected]
To: [email protected]
Hi all.....You can imagine how elated I am to have the 30' Dish on the
tower after a seven year project. Several years ago it was not clear
when this time would arrive. It is a great sight to see the Dish on
the Tower. Now for some EME testing. The sun noise shows the Dish
calibration to be almost right on. Am planning on a focal test as soon
as we have some railings installed on the platform. Am anxious to hear
the first sigs off the moon. Will be using 75 watts into the dish for
starters, and the amp. wil be on line soon. It will be necessary for me
to have some help to get a sked or two and get the hang of tuning in the
Doppler freq. Will be on 1296, but what freq. is best to use for these
tests ? Looking forward to any skeds and help. Thank you in advance.
