VK4AFL - tnx Joe for the usual good service. Conditions today
[Sat, s/w] seemed very poor with only three stations heard/worked,
K1FO, K5WXN & N9AB. All were Q5 but down on strength. My
sun noise was 7db more than usual.
The EU window, which has just closed, produced not one signal.
Will be on tomorrow [Sun UTC] during all windows.
Regards, Trevor,  VK4AFL.

HERE COMES THE SUN: Active region 9393 unleashed an M7-class solar flare
on April 26th at 1310 UT and hurled a full-halo coronal mass ejection
into space. The CME could trigger geomagnetic activity, including
auroras, when it hits Earth's magnetosphere late Saturday or Sunday. Sky
watchers above geomagnetic latitude ~50 degrees should be alert for
auroras after local sunset on Saturday.

Hi Joe,
short report on the last SW:

No luck with Mike, AL7OB. Heard him twice before sked, but never
again. Heard only K1FO and DL9NDD this weekend, but was
heard from none. ConDX seems to be not quite good.

Hi Joe,

HF has been wiped out this weekend so no net for me.  Overall a mediocre
EME weekend, but at least made some progress.

Worked PA4FP O/O #78, DK3WG 539/539 #79 (finally...we have been trying a
long time), S52CW 539/539, DL8OBU 439/449, DJ6MB 549/549 #80, DL7APV O/O
#81, G4YTL 439/O #82, K1FO 559/559, VK4AFL 559/559.  Heard PAØPLY, DL5LF
and UA6LGH "O" but no completion.  Still having AZ position indicator
problems and with the lousy conditions, many times I was without echoes and
could not determine correct position.  Lots of Faraday, deep fading and
sudden dropouts.  This solar stuff can quit any day now.

Tried a 144 MHz feed this weekend.  Heard F3VS and I2FAK quite well, but no
completion with my 600 watts.

Tnx & 73

Mike, AL7OB  BP51dc  http://www.customcpu.com/al7ob

432 EME - FT-736; FT-767; 9.2 Meter Dish; DEM 0.4dB; 700 WATTS

I forgot to add, I will be QRV random today at my moonrise 2030z, open for
skeds for the next few days.

Tnx & 73

Mike, AL7OB

Hi Joe,
I tried to work YO2IS again as scheduled on April 28 @ 17:00z. I did not
hear him at all. I did hear my own echoes very loud, however faraday
rotation may have played a part in not hearing YO2IS if he was on.
I worked Andrew  Bachler, N9AB before my schedule and I worked Jimmy
Long, W4ZRZ at 17:30 right after the schedule with no problems. Jimmy,
W4ZRZ was much louder than usually.

For the next schedule weekend I could use the following stations if they
are still on 432 MHz:
JH4JLV, ON5OF, K8UC, JR9NWC, JJ1NNJ, UT3LL, KE2N, YO2IS, JA2TY, S52CW,
DK3FB.
If you know any others that want to work me feel free to add them. I
have the stations I have worked  listed on my Home Page:
home.rica.net/candrus , at the top of my EME Page.

Thank you Joe for helping and running the net. I try to check in when I
can but in good grass mowing weather, it's been keeping me very busy. A
ride mower is in the budget for next year!  I am also trying to getting
the HF tower and antennas up. With my Job I only have weekends to do
everything. Getting settled in a new location is always a lot of work, I
know you understand this.

Thanks much Joe,
Cowles, K4EME
