NET BEGINS
My apologies to the 432 & above EME community. I had to work out
of my area the whole weekend, and did not get home until late
Sunday afternoon. I am just catching up on the e-mails. Most
are out of date and cannot be of much help, but you should see them
as they came in.

PLEASE get sked requests in to me ASAP for the next schedule weekend
March 3/4 2001. Also there have been a few requests for sched.skd
in skd81 format. I am checking with Klaus about posting on the web
for download, but if that is not a go, I will send to a special
distribution list. If you want to be on this list, send me the
e-mail address..

Hi Joe,
I QSOd on 2304 W5LUA O/O, heard very weak W7GBI. I will be QRV on
2304.050  / 2320 /2424 tomorow. I need telephone number to Charlie
W7GBI, the number I have does not work. I have additional skeds:
4 Feb 0000Z WA6PY - G3LQR    0100Z  WA6PY SM3AKW.
I would like to repeat sked with Charlie tomorow. I sent e-mail to
OZ4MM, but I do not know if he will get it.

Hi Joe,

Yesterday was a disaster.  Unbelieveable bad luck.  I had good echos
Thursday night and everything looked good, but Friday everything broke.

1.  AZ drive shaft broke (fixed)
2.  Chain broke (fixed)
3.  Ax drive broke again (fixed)
4.  Computer broke (sort of fixed)
5.  AZ position indicator broke (I gave up)

I have now figured out the AZ position problem so I should be ready for
moonrise again at 2300z so I can try to keep all the skeds for 4 Feb.

Yesterday I tried to alert as many folks via email and moon-net but I
couldn't reach everyone.

Very sorry.

Tnx & 73

I QSOd  OE9XXI  OE9ERC  NIL from other stations. I heard SM3AKW in
QSO with OE9ERC, Someone was calling me M-copy, SM3AKW told me that
it was HB9SV. I have sked 4 Feb 2300Z   SM3AKW - WA6PY  2304.050.
Any takers? I will check my email before this sked.

I just QSOd JA4BLC  2304.050 / 2424.050. Yoshiro was very strong like
OE9XXI. He reperted that I was 10 kHz to high in frequency.
I have obvious QRM on 13 cm. It looks like very wideband modulation.
Any sugestions?

It is unbelieveable how so many things can go wrong in one weekend.
Besides the following list:

1.  AZ drive shaft broke (fixed)
2.  Drive chain broke (fixed)
3.  Az drive broke again (fixed)
4.  Computer broke (fixed)
5.  AZ position indicator broke (fixed...backup battery died in my TAPR
TrakBox)
6.  Second stage preamp died (fixed)

When I was hoping to make up for lost time, just as the moon was rising in
EU, the tuning dial on my FT-767 started getting tight.  It is now
completely siezed.  Success just doesn't come easy in this game.  I will
try to fix it before next moon rise.  The antenna system is now working
great.  Echoes are awesome.

Nil on all skeds, but managed to work:

EA8FF   439/549 #59
W1ZX            O/O             #60
NC1I            569/569
VK4AFL  559/559
JH4JLV  449/449 #61

All random.

Tomorrow is another day.

Tnx & 73

Hi Joe,

Just finished running with PA3CSG. Heard Geert on the first 3
periods, then nothing after that. Ran for 45 minutes.

My apology to DL9NDD. I screwed something up just before the sked and
was not able to transmit. It was operator error and 100% my fault.

I will be looking for skeds on and around the next sked weekend. I
can normally run at ANY time during the week also... still limited to
moon rise / set... waiting for Spring!

73,
Paul, N1BUG
