Hi Joe:

Could you remind the gang that they will not be receiving an NL for a
few weeks.  Because of the poor alignment of Moon declination, perigee
and the Sun this summer, the next official SW will not be until 22/23
July.  Thus I will not be putting out the next NL until the weekend of
8/9 July.  This is an unusually long gap.  As I have considerable
material from the OX2K dxpedition, I may put out an interim
(preliminary) version via e-mail.

My tnx to the OX2K group. They did a great job.  We QSO'd them on both
70 cm and 23 cm on random.  We need more activities like this one!

How are plans going for RIO2000?  We still have to get our visa, but I
was pleasantly surprised by the excellent airline rates.  It is costing
less to fly to Rio than it did to either Paris or Sweden!

I hope all is well.  I hope to CU this summer.  Sorry, but I was unable
to make it to Rochester - a conflict developed and OX2K!

W7SZ:   been spending time on projects.. K2 is finished.. big project is
        DSP-10 computer controled 2 meter radio.. Sep 99 QST article..

W2UHI:  nothing new since yesterday.. how did K2DH/W7QX do on 23cm this am??
        will be on when moon is reasonable .. !!!!

N2IQU:  barefoot on 20 meters .. was at work this morn and missed visit from
        F1FLN ..

W1ZX/M:  not much .. just headed home from a fest..

KA0RYT: QRT on 70cm EME and will be put up 6 yagis.. Has a situation with UPS
        that had a dammage claim refused.    [email protected] wants advice.. 

WA8WZG: busy with boat work.. did work G3LTF random on 23cm Jun 4.. did not 
        work the OX2K.. 

K3AX:   not much to report.. hope to be active July sked weekend 
        also looking for QSLs from W7QX & W0KJY.. did work OX2K on ssb..

K2DH:   had wx move in and W7QX had to scratch the sked.. 

K5JL:   Was on 6 meters last night and worked to the East and KA0RYT..

WA4NJP: lots of rain.. do antenna work today.. reports that KD4LT got rained
        out of camping trip and cutting that short.. 

WA9FWD: working on lathe motor and got it running.. working on the GI7 23cm 
        amp.. 

W7CS:   not much .. will be at CSVHF in Winnipeg.. was able to work OX2K on cw & ssb..
        working on 10ghz mobile rover station.. looking for e-amil for Dale
        AF1T .. 

DL9KR:  leaving by Aug 26 and fly back to Europe on Sep 16.. all depends on
        the bookings.. worked 2 new inits RZ3BA/1 (1 38ele 800W) & 
        G4YTL/TF 6 yagis 600w ... RZ3BA/1 KO56 may be sked thru RW3BP ..
        RZ3BA/1 only QRV Jun Thru Nov .. not in winter.. HB9Q is really new station.
        up to #736 new inits.. still not clear, but HB9DBM is second operator of
        HB9Q and is a different location from HB9CRQ.. report from DK3WG..
        Jan has a lot of info on travel in the Midwest .. 

DK3WG:  368 initials on 70cm and 77 dxcc.. 

ON5OF/MM: working on antennas from ON4KNG for Europe expedition .. 

W7QX:   had power outage and heavy storms.. 1.5 inches of rain last night..
        hopes to be QRV tonight .. will be gone next couple weekends..
