Hope your are fine in your new home.
Was on for the ref / Dubus contest with the new 8x13wl 9BV antenna but not very
good results. The new antenna doesn´t work as expected. Most of the problems are
on the mechanical side. The double H Frame is not stable enough (swinging) and
the lift system of the tower makes big trouble. So I decided today to put down
the whole array again. My neighbour has a steel welding company and will help
with some parts. So I will be qrt for a while. Hope to be back in summer.

Nice meeting you on 20 this morning........ My full name is Pat Schouten,
I am located @ 20 miles south west of Salt Lake City, Utah. My grid is DN30XP.
I have been a VHF/UHF'er for @ 23 years... I moved here to Salt Lake about
6 years ago... I am originally from Chicago...... I am currently on
HF / 6 / 222 / 432 / 903 / 1296 / 2304... my plans initially were to put
a 2 meter array for EME but my lot just is a bit too small.......
OK....... Here's the run down for 432.... Radio is a Yeasu FT736R / amp
is a Henry 2004....... I am getting full power out of the 2004...
plan to upgrade to a Lunar Link someday... I am saving my dollars......
Antenna system is (4) M2 9WL yagis...
Phasing lines are made from Cellwave 3/8th's superflex.......
Preamp is from the Michigan microwave group........ I am planning on
using a 2 line system - I just picked up a new roll of Andrew's 7/8th's
for the transmit side.. and planning on using 1/2" Andrews for the receive.....
relays will be all Transco's........ As far as progress... the antennas
are aseembled / H Frame is built / Concrete is poured for the tower.......
I am using a 16' feet of an older heavy duty tower...... I am going to
use a Yaesu 5600 rotor for AZ/EL....... I am hoping this will survive....
I am currently putting up a new main tower changing all the antennas /
cables / etc....... This need to get done first... but should get the
432 station on the air by mid summer........ I will make it point to
stop by on Sunday's and keep everyone updated......

W2UHI: nothing new.. day was nice yesterday.. did replace a pooched preamp on the
100' tower.. looking forward to next EME weekend.. will be giving a talk at
a local radio club on EME .. Galena, Ill is a nice place to visit.. House
on the Rock is a place to see.. very breath-taking..

Looking for travel advise in the Mid West.. Will be in Toronto end of August
then for a 3 week tour..
RW1AW: working toward 23cm .. should be on by June .. about 500w .. 2 x gs31b cavities..
getting about 600w out of one cavity and expects 3db loss in xmission lines etc.

W4AD: have not been on 23cm because of overcast skies .. only manually pointing via
