Hi Joe, for the net(notes) tomorrow,
So far 10x8 here, should be on after 17:00 Sunday.  Conditions didn't
seem very good for my fixed-polarity station.  73  Matt  KB0VUK

Hi Joe,

It was pointed out to me that my website had Java script which might
prevent some folks from being able to surf thru my pages.  I have changed
it...should be OK now.  Again the site is <http://www.customcpu.com/al7ob>.

With the Aurora situation, I am surprised I have been able to work anyone.
Last night the Aurora was so strong it was visible from horizon to horizon.
That was about the time that I heard 2 distinct signals coming from
SM3AKW.  Conditions have defintely been degraded, but I have still made a
few contacts.  Got HB9Q to the west for initial #50.  I was hoping to break
50 within my first year of EME (4/17/99 first QSO..DL9KR).  Not bad for an
array with a tv rotator (U-100)!  I am open for sked proposals during the
week.  Conditions look good.  Still need K6JEY, KB8RQ, KB0VUK (heard fairly
strong today) to name a few.

Tnx & 73

Hi Joe and Net.
As Sun gets further N, might be able to get into you guys, as sigs have
generally been very low and unable to raise anyone there.
The rains have just started last nite, and still continuing this AM.  Am
unable to get the antenna on at the moment, as it's in a bit of a
dis-array, if you will.
Will advise when able to re-start from here.

In meantime, am looking for two items:
1.  Please, anyone, the correct formula for path loss, asssuming free space
and DX to many Km.  Only book I have has it only between antennas and it's
about 30 dB from nomographs.

2. I have an old 1296 xvtr (UK one SOTA), that (naturally), needs preamp
and power amps.  Is a possibility can use a 20 ft dish here.  Not the max,
but what would be suggested items:
feed for dish (surface is 4GHz use), and I think is f/d .5; reasonable
power level needed and suggested amp line-up to reach that.  I think the
xvrtr puts our 1W and would expect 100W might be enough at dish?

Regards, and thanks to all those QSOd on 6 past week.  Louis HP3XUG
