In the beginning i wrapt the Beveragewire around the bamboo stick, but the time learned me to look for another methode.
The reason was that it cost me a lot of time to repair the wire, most of the time it was broken at the wrap point.
These days i use the Tyrap methode and that works fine. Its easy to setup and you can tension the entire antenna from either end of the wire. I start with the groundrod which is already in the Balunbox connected to earth and put the supports (bamboo sticks in my case) after every 30m. I use insulated wire, it’s cheap on the Radiomarkets and it’s less sensitive for rain static.(thats the different what i could hear) The 40 dgr. Beverage and the in phase Beverage (10m spacing and 1 ¾l) are terminated.
The Beverages are situated on the ground of my neighbour farmer. He alows me to setup the receiving-antennas from the end of October till the end of March. That gives me the opportunity to join all the "TOP" contests.
The Beverages are
in the length of 160 to 320 meter. The Relais Box with the Balun is about 125 m.
away from the shack.
The five Beverages are in these directions; 40 / 220 / 260 / 290 and 330
degrees.
