After two weeks of traveling in this "Wonderfull part of the world", Fred landed in Nuuk with the minimum necessery tools to make the IOTA Contest.

Rene OX3HX and his son were waiting for Fred in the airport. They took care of him for the next 60 hours of stay in the capitalcity of Greenland.

After a first round view of the region and the OX3NUK' shack,a visit in Jan's home (OX3DB) was planed to improve the equipment and find the missing pieces !

A sheduled meeting with the Belgian hams was very busy: the station was heard in Europe and many OM came on 20 meters to say hello to Fred.

After a very busy evening, trying to get everithing working as good as possible, a little rest was necessary to be ready for the great day.

On 10am local time, the IOTA contest started.
But not realy for Fred: he chosen to operate in the mixed mode 12 hours, so he had time to look around and spot the signals.

The rate was very low at the begining, but increasing gradualy to reach a maximum just before  ...12 UTC ( end of the contest !)

No signal at all on 10 m and 80 m.

This was the 5th participation of Fred in the IOTA Contest :
not the best score but what a nice island !
